MS are absolutely killing it with their gamepass offering. It’s quickly becoming as essential as having a Nextflix account and I love it.

I think (like many games these days) its the sandbox/creative mode that is what’s fun here. You can create huge (and often hilarious) battles between comical and fictional units. My son played it for a few hours today on sandbox and was in fits of giggles the whole time.

I think it’s little stories like this that make gamepass such a modern life great thing. It’s a cost effective way for both adults and kids to checkout cool games they wouldn’t have necessarily bought out right!

Great game. My son loves it.
It looks painfully dull.

If you have game pass give it go, you might be surprised.

I downloaded it yesterday and it's surprising fun, for no extra cost it's a great little game in my opinion. Played a bit today too!

great game £8.54 on steam and also on pc gamepass
If you have ultimate, does that include game pass. I believe it does, don't play it myself, just pay for it

It sure does, incredible value for money.
As with all gamepass games I shall give it a try, the service is really swinging it for me which console I go for next gen

Agree completely, there are so many games these days and so many get overlooked, gamepass is a great way to catch up with them, also a great way to try out games without having to buy them and can be a way to play relatively new games and if you like them pick them up 6 months down the line when they are cheap.

Before Gamepass I was a nay sayer to these kind of subscriptions but MS have really won me over, I also collect physical games too but can really appreciate Gamepass
I downloaded, played and thoroughly enjoyed Human Fall Flat, wouldn't have touched it if it wasn't for Gamepass.

It's stupidity had me in tears of laughter, when playing it with a mate...

Gamepass is well worth the money, especially if you did/do the convert live/Gamepass to Xbox Live Ultimate

Same here, me and my 8yo son played it together and laughed for hours. Great little hidden gem

You’re not another salty ps4/switch owner by any chance ?

Take it you haven't seen the cross region purchase thread(s) for Xbox...

I can vouch for @Silhouette, not being "another salty PS4/switch owner".

Not me I just think there's plenty more offerings.

I get it, I've seen some cool battle simulators which show things like 10,000 infantry vs 1,000 longbow men... And how it's different in formation against being in a block (for example) but really interesting stuff.

But, this, being rendered more "Fortnitey" I just couldn't picture 12 year old me getting psyched for this.

There's so much more on GamePass that would be my priority. That's all.

At the moment, I'm trying to juggle Greedfall, MW, RL and Breakpoint. It's a busy time to be a gamer!

This morning I'd have agreed with you. I'm aware of its insanely good reviews but I'd never given it a second look.
But I'm visiting family for Christmas and my nephew had it on and it actually has a decent campaign - it's not just a sandbox. It's sort of a puzzle based on tabletop miniatures. You have a set number of points to create your army with different units costing different amounts and you have to create an army that can defeat the one the map comes with.

Okay you've convinced me - I'm going to install it.

One ticket for the hype train please!

Ha ha! Nothing like a little peer pressure. It’s like a kiddie friendly command and conquer (although we all played that as kids right)
Personally, after watching my son playing it, it’s quite buggy at the moment on Xbox, much more stable on steam - but then it is ‘free’ on Xbox so swings and roundabouts. Got a happy boy though so that’s all that counts.
