The Tacwise Z1-53 Metal Staple Tacker is a compact and powerful staple gun, providing accurate results time and time again.

Weighing only 0.26kg, this lightweight model is ergonomically constructed with an impact resistant metal/polymer body which incorporates an all steel, high capacity, bottom loading magazine capable of firing 125 x type 53/4-8mm staples.

The Z1-53 features a convenient staple viewing window that allows you to maximise your stapling productivity by always knowing when you’re running low on staples. The lock down handle and handy belt hook make transportation and storage easy.

All the Tacwise Z1, Z2-M, Z3 & CT Tackers are built with a unique Linear Power Curve technology which reduces the extra force needed to fire the gun, avoiding the uncomfortable "snap" at the end of the firing cycle. This ultimately decreases hand strain and improves user comfort during prolonged periods of use.

A high quality hand tacker loaded with features, the Z1-53 is useful for a range of professional and DIY applications, including carpeting, insulation, roofing, picture framing and a range of other upholstery and general purpose tasks.

I have a really old one of these and used it on my stair carpet underlay. It's lethal

Got this in Feb for a similar price, nice and light... Does the job

Doesn't appear to have a 'jaw' to use as a stapler - only for tacking?

Have one. As far as I can tell no staple fold over possible as on paper staplers (forgive me if I miss the exact point you make). It's for underlay, upholstery fabric or attaching chicken wire to wood etc.. The staple remover seems flimsy but is in my opinion amazing to remove similar & so far with much use robust.

    Thanks, just what I needed!

paid £9.32 in Jan for exact same on offer. Have used the remover to take out hundreds (maybe even thousands) of modern & ancient trodden in underlay staples on approx. 7 wood floors each about 5m x 4m. It's incredibly effective despite flimsy appearance. After using I'd never consider use any other tool for the job, except naturally a few need a 2nd pull with pliers. Does not do for tacks. Stapler seems okay too but have hardly used it as my old missing one showed up just after ordering this. £7.26 is pretty much only the price of a similar staple remover. Hot.

This is used by Openreach engineers for stapling cables to skirting boards not a normal staple gun as far as I'm aware

Interesting. But what does this indicate?

Would this be good for felt on shed? The tiny 1cm nails pop out.

No! Use longer roofing nails, I 7se 15mm and 20mm ones. The force that the stapler uses, will weaken the felt and it'll soon tear and lift. (edited)
