Bluetooth and ANT+(FE-C) connectivity is built into the unit and will sync to your smartphone or tablet, letting you relay your RPMs, BPMs and cadence to your device for immediate analysis. Using third-party apps such as the Tacx Desktop app and Zwift, you can also fully immerse yourself in VR rides, adding as realistic a feel to every run as possible. Alternatively, you can ride in stand-alone mode and burn through your own workout, without virtual assistance.

Performance-wise, the Flux S features a redesigned internal setup which has improved the accuracy of its power measurements to within 3%, a 7kg flywheel that provides true-feeling inertia and an almost silent motion and a direct drive, easy-access mounting setup that is compatible with bikes with long cage derailleurs. Powerful, intelligent and precise indoor workouts are assured with this terrific Tacx trainer.

Stonking deal
Cheap cheap for this
Hot, but not. Reliability is absolutely horrendous. Went through three units myself, and if you have a look on the Facebook group you'll find loads the same.

I'd wait for a deal on the Direto or their new Suito.

Was that on the 'S' model? I know the original Flux was absolutely turd, but the 'S' should include the manufacturing changes that Tacx implemented.
As far as I know the S still has a lot of the issues of the original. The mk 2 may be better. Mine went wrong within weeks. Thankfully I got it from Halfords so returned to store and swapped for an Elite Direto. I have to admit the flywheel and responsiveness in Zwift and TrainerRoad was great, just not the build quality! Worth checking Wiggle's returns / refund policy before purchasing. Worth a punt though, still heat for the price!

Also the same price at halfords if anyone prefers to buy it there for this very reason?
Had 3 - all went back ended up with an elite with similar features cheaper too. Had no issues. Wouldn't bother.
Tacx Flux is junk, I switched to a Direto. What's the Suito?

Two 2018 models and one S. They're exactly the same inside.

The Flux 2 has its own issues btw.

No, sorry but that's not true - there are differences, visible or otherwise.

There have been some manufacturing changes since it was originally launched almost three years ago, but they were already present in the 2018 version of the Flux before they changed the name to Flux S. It's the same device barring the legs, as evidenced by the tons of people - me included - that have had both named models fail in exactly the same way. People have even taken them apart on the FB group and found the exact same construction.

In fact here, read this: dcrainmaker.com/201…tml

Funnily enough DCR had to get a replacement for his review, seeing as the first... had the exact same belt problem everyone has had.

Should have pulled the pin on this, either sold out or price gone up! That said the belt thing causes some alarm.

True, but with 2 years warranty and a further 10% off at Halfords. A decent calculated risk.
