This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Recently released Tacx Neo 2 Smart Turbo Trainer, currently considered the best available and usually priced accordingly.

Most places seem ti have at full RRP of 1,199. Halfords are price matching someone and have reduced their price to £1.067.35. As it's Halfords, British Cycling members (£25) can get a further 10% off bringing the price to £960.62. Note that the BC discount is now only usable once per month and requires an online code in addition to your membership card.

Still a lot of money, but puts it much closer to the price of the previous version and is considerably less than available elsewhere, so if a smart trainer is something you're looking for and you're looking top end, this is a great option.

Glad someone thinks so! We bought it Sunday having previously only had a dumb fluid trainer. It's so quiet, feels really nice to ride, and we're really enjoying the flexibility. We were initially looking at indoor cycles of a similar price, but this offers so much more and I was chuffed to get it 20% below RRP.

I've used the BC discount at Halfords multiple times this month and previous months.

Good to know - not sure what the voucher means by 'once per customer' then, or the point of having a voucher code that changes monthly!
You cant use British cycling discount on sale/discounted/price matches at Halfords

I have asked CS in the past and they confirmed that you can use it multiple times per month.
I've also used the Cycle Car 10% discount and British Cycle 10% discount together to buy things in store.
But it was probably due to the Assistant not knowing that you can't use both

Another trick I've used. If you buy a part for your bike from another retailer and you're not 100% sure how to fit it or fine tune it.
Instead of asking them to fit it, which would cost you money. As it's not covered by Cycle Car.
Make any attempt to fit it yourself. Then take you bike to the store and ask them to check it over.
They will fine tune it for free, under Cycle Care. Saving you £18 or whatever fitting costs
I've got a Flux, and the old man had a Neo.

Would love a Neo 2, but can't justify the upgrade unfortunately.

I ordered click and collect over phone and was told BC discount was fine, and have purchased accordingly. YMMV.

Not true. I bought a Vivoactive 3 from Halfords last week. They were price matching Amazon and I got the BC discount on top.

Lol, it was true in my case, so most definitely does not make it untrue

But its interesting to hear that others have been successful. I'm almost ready to cancel BC since they changed the discounts

Yeah I wasn't doubting you. Just meant it wasn't the case for me.
Wish I had the spare cash! Voted hot
If you go via Quidco before click and collect you get 6% cashback too which already tracked for me at £66. I think the key to the cycling club discount is whether it is price matched (which they allow) or whether it is on sale (which they don’t allow).

You can certainly use it against national/general sale items, the terms permit it. Price matching and locally discounted items maybe not, but there's no harm in trying.

The use of discount against general sale items is specifically mentioned in t&c's, they clamped down a few months ago

• Discount cannot be used in conjunction with other instore promotions.
• Discount not applicable on sale items.

As mentioned this is incorrect. I used my BC discount on the Elite Drivo which is currently on sale for £650. So £585 with the discount. It is a cracking piece of kit and must knock all other top end units into touch at this price. I would recommend it.
I bought via Amazon and that turned out to be the right choice - my first unit was faulty (it would overheat after a few minutes) and Amazon have sent a replacement for free before I sent the old one back.
It was much easier to swap between the units, verify that it was all right etc.
So a bit like buy TVs at John Lewis or Richer Sounds for 5/6 year warranty, I'd say buy this at a place that gives you the best return and warranty policy - TacX own warranty and customer care sucks - it took them two week to even get back to me, by which time I already had a replacement from Amazon.
