Product Overview
Make sure you’ve got the perfect temperature at all times with this tado° smart radiator valve starter kit. You can use your smartphone or tablet to tweak the settings or set timers and schedules. But thanks to a bunch of clever features, you might not even need to do that. Built-in temperature sensors will keep track of how warm it is so it doesn’t get too hot or cold, and they can even use weather forecasts to set the perfect level. Plus, by using your phone’s location, they’ll automatically turn the temperature down when you leave the house, and turn it back up again when you’re on the way home. And thanks to support for Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit, if they need a bit of tweaking, you can do so with a simple voice command.

The kit includes the internet bridge needed for the valves to work. You’ll also need to download the free tado° app, which is compatible with all iOS and Android devices.

Why does the picture show them on the top of the radiator? I always thought they went on the bottom.

I thought that was just how it was positioned on the bottom. I'm rubbish at the heating stuff. I'd rather paint round a radiator than remove it

It's a marketing image and totally inaccurate. Looks like they attached it to the bleed valve

This is a copy of the Honeywell Evohome stuff, not sure how well it works.
Expired: someone just bought 12.

That's a tad unfair. It's a German company and, in many European countries, the radiators are designed to have the thermostat there. Which, if you think about it, is a better position in terms of convenience and temperature accuracy.
