tado° Extension Kit - dual channel wireless receiver for tado° Smart Thermostats

Just last week, I bought this for £69.99 on deal. But this deal looks very good.

Seems like currys price matched and have the same price., currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

The tado° Extension Kit can only be used as an additional product of the Smart Thermostat Starter Kit (v2/v3). It enables you to control your hot water. It’s also needed to connect the tado° Smart Thermostat to your heating system if there is no room thermostat or if you have a wireless room thermostat. The Extension Kit works then as a wireless receiver for the heating system. It connects directly to your heating system via cable. The Smart Thermostat communicates via radio with the Extension Kit to control your heating.

Great deal thank you.
Buying shortly thank you. Been looking to buy for some time. Not sure if I need the extension kit. But it's been putting me off buying the starter as the extension kit was full price.

Thank you so much!

Ah ok, I did email support last week as I already have a wireless control. Didn't know if I could use the existing kit. I can await for the answer from support. Bit ordered it just in case
Can anyone help with what i would need in this situation. I have 2 zones, which each use a Danfoss 5001+rf thermostat. The recievers for each are next to each other in a cupboard upstairs (away from the boiler)

It’s better to call Tado, they are very good and would recommend what you need.
have had a tado for a couple of years now, excellnt bit of kit, great customer service and has saved me a fortune on heating bills.
Tado keyword alerts have saved me a fortune for the new house installation - thanks!

Just need the trvs to drop next!!
Anyone know if you can use just the single channel? Don't need the hot water control just the boiler

Here's a hack that I used to save on the trvs. Plumbcenter/Wolseley had a discount code for signing up as a first time customer. Doesn't apply to nest but applies to tado products.

And your Tado thermostat will be used wirelessly? In that case - yes. (if thermostat will be wired, you don't need extension unit at all)

Thanks. Worked out that there's only one extension model anyway and purchased.
If you have an amex that gives you points you can spend on Amazon you can get an extra £15 off if you use the points. You only need to use £1 worth of points. This brings the price down to £25.

Wolseley seem to still have the first time customer offer, but it's 10% - so only saving £5 per TRV. Their current price is £60.50 so it's not that great of a discount.

Really hoping for a major drop on Amazon at some point soon. £40 each would be nice.

Extactly what I did !
Hi Guys, tado says on their website you have to use thermostat with this, but actually for what?
If I have extension kit connected to the boiler, smart thermostate in living room (downstairs), bridge connected to hub,
2 extra smart radiator thermostates upstairs in 2 separate bedrooms.
If I have 17 degree in living room and I want heat up to 20 degrees in bedroom in the same time - I can hear radiator valve oppening and boiler is turned on (fairing up).
So if I want bigger temperature upstairs in one room, having downstairs in living room old NON SMART radiator thermostate + tado smart thermostat on wall, will this room be heating as well? I'm bit confusing now with this system...

I can't seem to be able to do this. I put the code and it applies when I select using £1 using AMEX points but can't get it to work after clicking through.

Any ideas?

Nope. It may be a single use per account so if you have used it previously it may not work. Worked first time for me. It wouldn't work at all using the mobile app. Had to use the webpage.
