Heat. Paid £134 on Black Friday. This is cracking.
I paid £256 for 8 the other day do I return them for the sake of £13 ?

Depends how much your time is worth and you have to pay return postage that eats into that £13.
Bought from Amazon. Might send an email see what they. Probably won't return for the sake of the £13. Cheers

Personally I would not bother amount of time and effort you send setting up new ones and repacking old ones is not worth it. .

You don’t need to. Just order new ones return as original item. No need to re set up. Probably not worth it for £13.
They only arrived Monday. Not even opened them. Will try the email approach if not bite the bullett. Cheers
just message amazon, i bet they will refund the difference and let you keep
dammit before payday!
Only £31.99 for one if you don’t need 4.

Surely that only works on items without serial numbers?

Back in the day they would have. Getting ANYTHING out of Amazon now is hard. They are big enough not to care sadly and they know it
Price will drop during summer time

That's a good point, the serial numbers are very visible on the outside of the box so they may log it with the sale. Personally wouldn't risk it.

Got the lottery numbers while you're at it?
This is a great price, I paid more than this only a few weeks ago. Hot from me.

That's assuming Amazon make any record of the serial numbers and attach to an order. I don't think they do. I reckon you could return and empty box and you'd still get a refund.

They can be generous when they want. I bought and iPhone 11 Pro on Black Friday and decided to return it. Had to go on the online chat (they make you now so they can talk you through wiping it and removing the Apple account). I explained it was still sealed. They offered me £100 refund if I kept it. I said no and as a joke and for £200. The guy went and spoke to a manager and agreed to a £200 refund.

I don’t think they track serial numbers, if they did it would make things like recalls much easier but I don’t think any retailer does.
Are these actually any good? I have Nest Thermostat at home and was thinking of switching to Tado for these TRVs

You don’t think any retailer logs serial numbers? They definitely do, I work in retail and we definitely record the product serial numbers in case of fraudulent returns.

They don’t log serial numbers. They log pos. amazon don’t use unique pos.

Next do. So you wouldn’t be able to do this with next stuff.

I like how you robustly backed up your earlier statement by changing two words. Thanks for being a great addition to the HUKD community.
