This says V3 Starter Kit + Echo Dot. If that's right, it's an amazing deal.

Unfortunately I don't need/want an(other) Echo but this looks like an amazing deal. Good find!
Not that good a deal? You can get the v3 starter kit on its own for around £120 now I belive.
I haven't seen the starter kit for £120. It's normally £200. I've bought the Tado within the last few weeks for £150 from Amazon so might see if I can pay the difference and get another echo.

Cheapest V3 kit is £200 , Amazon even sell the kit without the echo for £200.

Perhaps this is a glitch? Purchased, will know on Monday

It won't be a glitch but might be limited. Nice and easy to install. You need the extension kit if you want to make the thermostat wireless so you can move it around your home.
This isn’t a glitch. It’s part of the spring smart home deals they’ve got on at the moment. I bought this bundle earlier in the week and really happy with it so far. The price of the starter kit alone was £150 at the time. It was £140 over Easter but never seen it for £120.
Best part of tado for me was how easy it is to install if you’re replacing existing wired thermostats.

£120 was for the radiator kit i believe
Little confused about the tado. I've currently got a wireless thermostat that's about 12 years old that I want to replace with a smart one.

Would I need to buy the extension kit?
Ignore that, I would need the extension which adds quite a lot to the total cost. Think I might go with Drayton instead.
Drayton seems pretty good but you won't have the Geo locations. This was a must for me. I work shifts and my wife is part time so we come and go often and at all times of the day. The Tado takes care of everything without me worrying.
It is pricey, especially if you want to add their smart trv's but I'm hoping they will get these on offer soon.
Does this do heating plus hot water?

It does but you need extension kit if you want to control hot water using it. Otherwise you can just leave the old programmer to continue doing your hot water
Not sure if it helps anyone but when I recently purchased the smart thermostat the tado website failed to mention I would need the extension kit to replace the external timer which I was having issues with. So the cost increased. I managed to pick this up from Argos at £79 so wasn’t too painful but beware. If you do have a separate timer that needs replacing you need one. Now I am waiting for the radiator trv’s to be reduced to a palatable cost so I can start to zone my heating. Good product overall and very easy to install. Excellent support from the tado team which is rare these days with many companies.

The extension kit is effectively a wireless programmer controlled by your phone. If you have a faulty programmer then this would always need replacing. The hive and nest come with the parts to replace the programmer but fitting is more complicated and engineer recommended so any cost saved would be eaten up by that.
The radiator valves are very expensive though. We only have trv's on a couple of rads so for me to add these I would have to buy cheap trv's which include the compression fittings to then change the heads with the Tado trv. I would probably be looking at £70 per trv.

I should be receiving this today guys, so i can confirm if it is the same kit valued as £200 plus an echo (My 3rd).
Haven't researched and not sure if i need an extension kit or not. I've just moved into a house with a BOSS therm fitted if that makes any odds

Definitely V3, and the bridge is the latest (supporting home kit). Now, I just need to find a deal on the extension and some TRVs
So tempted. I really like the look of the Tado. Their support team are excellent and confirmed compatibility with my existing system in a day. I may start with thermostat and then maybe later the extension kit for hot water control, but not convinced that is so necessary. Thoughts?
Do these need heating on constant at programmer then the clever thermostat just switches it on and off as necessary?

I bought mine off ebay for £99 (£110 less 10% through Italian ebay).
Yes, heating is left on constant then the thermostat switches it on and off based on your location and settings.
