Good deal, £200 elsewhere. Go well with those who managed to get the Amazon Dots from Currys for cheap.

Yep, good deal. Still waiting for Tado to pass/ agree the certification process with Apple, which is still ongoing. There's no confirmed shipment date yet for the new Apple HomeKit Bridge - which means if you want to integrate with Apple Home, you're in for a wait. If you have Amazon Echo or Dot, should work as is to control your heating using voice commands.

Been using Tado since the beginning of last year and I have to say... it's great. The geofencing aspect is what won me over when considering Tado, Hive, Nest etc. Happy with my decision and would recommend.

if it was 2 for £129.95, I might give it a go!

Would've jumped on this if I didn't just grab Hive on the in-day offer (£150) during the boiler service not 30 minutes before seeing it.

Be careful, I had tado and it was an absolute nightmare. Switched to Hive and have had no issues

Can I ask why it's been a nightmare? I've had problems aswell

Great deal.
I've had Tado for about 2 years. I've had no problems whatsoever.
The geo-location feature to automatically turn the heating down or off when you leave the house has been great for us.

Is this version 2 or version 3?

Not so great a deal when you need the extension kit too. Other smart thermostats have all the wireless stuff built in, but this seems to need an extra bit to double the price.

You don't "need" the extension kit.

sold out in the northwest - would have got this as looks like you can very easily replace existing 2 wire thermastat and leave other controls alone. Hopefully someone price matches

I actually ordered one of these on Amazon warehouse deals for £90 once, but had to cancel as it requires an existing wired room thermostat installed. If not, you will have to buy an extension kit.

keep checking it's Always this price they will restock. I got mine two months ago and it's been brilliant but I don't use the GPS has it only comes on when I'm 5 minutes from home (my house needs a good hour to warm up) so I just turn it on from my phone. it's also a lot easier to fit than the nest if you haven't got a up-to-date thermostat. mine was an 240 volt I just sent them pictures of my boiler and thermostat via their website and they got back within 30 minutes. took 5 minutes to set up. PS mines a combi boiler

Had one a few months now and it is brilliant, much more than just a remote thermostat. Had few niggling issues setting up my mobile to recognise location (eg. battery saving etc), but since hardly touch it it just works it out itself. Ive installed the remote extension kit too which was fine

I've had a Tado since March. I think its great and would highly recommend one.

You do if you do not have a wired thermostat to replace. So as the poster said it makes it expensive when other makers include that part.

I've had Tado for the last 2 years and for most of that I have been a beta tester for them. I've just sent mine back due to their current sh1t level of customer service and trying to take the pi55 with my rental renewal. I had ordered the upgrade to V3 (the HomeKit Bridge) and a couple of radiator valves but they've been unable to deliver for months.

I have switched to Nest and I can say each has their pro/cons. It would be difficult for me to choose a favourite at the moment. I like the idea of the radiator valves and the Geo Fencing of Tado works well, Tado was also marginally easier to install (even easier if you have a wired stat). Nest seems to be subversively working toward Geo Fencing which is fine by me. Quality of both items is good. Nest is less complicated to use than Tado, Tado has gotten a bit carried away with scheduling.

Nest is never going to support HomeKit which is a pity.
