Yes, if you have basic wiring skills and know how to turn off the power supply.
Tado provides detailed step by step instructions depending on what you currently have.
Yeah, very easy to replace and all instructions provided. Set and forget

Yes it is, and, I have to say their support services are getting SO much better.

A bit of kit here failed last week and while it would usually take AGES to get anywhere the new online chat system is superb and helped to resolve it.
Subscription required if you want to use all the features.

I have the V2 version and they are excellent. Very straightforward to use from you phone.

Depending on your setup, you may also need the Tado extension kit
Recently went for this, just waiting for rad valves to be reduced again
Excellent price, cheapest it has been on Amazon was £107.
I'm also waiting for the Smart TRVs to tumble in price again. Got some on Prime day two for £61ish, figure similar will be about towards Christmas.

Shouldnt need that as this is the 'upgrade' to v3. Wasnt the fee to move from v2 to v3?
Subscription of ~£3 a month required for the v3+. Better to buy the v3 and you can pay a one off fee of £20 to get all of the new features.

This is still a good deal though
I cant seem to get this deal. Does it just appear at that price?

Just to be clear the subscription add auto control based on geofencing and open window detection. Without it’s a fully functional system which asks if you want to switch the heating off when it’s senses you’re away rather than turning off automatically.

better with, certainly. Deal breaker, up to you but I’ve got the V3+ and it’s been a fantastic buy. The app is easy to use and it gets nice updates.
In addition, if you’re on iOS 13.1 there may be the opportunity to automate the geofencing using the new features in the shortcut app and HomeKit integ
Have a read of the discussion on a previous post, comparing V3 vs V3+ and the £3 monthly subscription model the latter has adopted:

I bought a V3 starter pack off eBay with the plan of upgrading to the V3+ app for the one off price of £20 - should save me a few quid over the coming years. Or rather a few quid more - got it for £85 off ebay.

It is, yes. It comes with step-by-step online instructions. Before you start, it asks what kind of heating setup you have, the brand and type of boiler and thermostat, and off you go. Kit comes with a few stickers to help you mark the wires.

Just be sure to take a picture of the existing wiring before you take it all apart and replace it with the Tado. That'll help you put things back the way they were, in case you decide it isn't for you or rent.

I've got a central heating (Y plan wiring), but decided not to go for Tado extension kit -- the hot water schedule stays the same on the old timer, and the heating schedule I've set to "continuous" but is actually managed by the Tado kit now. Works fine.

You could work around the subscription fee if you use IFTTT, I suppose

I paid the 20 quid for the upgrade, love the slider and the fact you can easily set it to turn off after an hour or 2, a bit like the one hour boost switch I miss from my old type thermostat. Well worth the 20 quid for that alone, even my partner loves the temp slider. Just need a couple of the valves to complete my setup now. I replaced the nest thermostat with this and was concerned it would not be as good, its actually better.
