Just bought this with the Quatro TRV pack for another £134!! hotukdeals.com/dea…260
I have a Combi boiler and a wireless thermostat so don’t need the hot water control. Presumably it doesn’t matter and I can just use the extension to counter the wireless thermostat

Hi. I had a similar set up and needed the extension kit as you described. Will do the trick
Surprised this isn’t getting more heat. It’s a great deal.
Does anyone have any experience of this versus Nest? Really need to change our thermostat and I like the look of this due to the optional radiator valves.

If anyone does have experience of Tado do the radiator valves give an accurate reading of the temperature in the room or are they skewed by the heat from the radiator?
Hot. Thanks. That's the £190 one from BT shop (with one "free" vertical radiator gizmo) that only just arrived going back (at my cost).

Recently installed some Tado TRVs and V3 bridge. Hive was installed a long time ago.

Is it worthwhile buying this to replace the Hive wireless Thermostat or keeping things as they are is perfectly fine. As well as saving some money?

If replacing Hive with this kit, does the extension kit slot over and in the Hive whilte box (with the front cover removed I presume?) which got wired directly in to the boiler? The Hive wireless thermostat is in the hall. There is a Hive hub plugged in to a router/switch as well. Is it worthwhile keeping the Hive hub and selling the wireless thermostat?

Shame I didn't buy it last year when O2 Priority were selling the Tado thermostat and extension kit cheap: hotukdeals.com/sea…+o2

Thanks.

Wasn’t sure about this vs nest. They seem to be pretty much the same but nest learns your schedule. Big advantage of this is the wireless thermostat whereas nest needs to be plugged in to mains socket

Big advantage of Tado is the TRVs, although the app subscription costs, very effective at saving money in the winter months!
in order to use some of the features, you have to pay a monthly fee. Read the reviews on amazon, even those who have previous models and those who bought in good faith before the subscription model, have to pay to access features. Super cold, don't support this model of extracting money from us, by purchasing this.

I guess replacing is a matter of all being controllable in the same place. If you look on tado website it'll tell you what kit you need. I only need this (extension kit) because I don't have a combi boiler and have a hot water tank.

Left my hive in the old house and was planning to go hive again.....except for their TRVs not being very good. Got a pack of 4 from AO for £200, (less a £20 code) and waiting on £50 cashback from AO (and £2 TCB)
Bought this + 8 TRV's today... expensive day!

People who purchased before the sub don’t have to pay to access the features.

You’re right that nest learns a schedule. That’s what put me off. My schedule varies each day / week. Tado knows when I’m home using geo location of phone so doesn’t need to learn a schedule.
