Nah! Stay with my 7k Rolex I bought from Goldsmiths in 1991.
What relevance does that comment have on this deal and aid anyone else?

Nice OP - HOT
Really good price, just a shame it's not a leather strap or I may of considered it
should post how much this usually goes forces it still sounds expensive to me ( I have no idea about watches)

Some people do talk a world of Bolex.
Good price. I recently bought a Tag Aquaracer so can't afford this

I've an aquaracer as an everyday watch, so this would make a nice "special occasions" one.

Avail on interest free credit too!

It doesn't, but it's nice to let people know you own a £7k Rolex. Imagine his friends have been hearing this since 1991!

With all the deprivation, hunger and disease we have up in the Northwest, this is just wasteful luxury.

Cool story bro, are the movie rights for this story still available?
Damn damn and double damn. If I'd known they had the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 Anniversary on sale I'd have got one. :-(
Sell the Impreza turbo and get a watch? I think I'll skip this deal
Nice catch OP. The Limited Edition TAG Heuer Monaco Steve McQueen Gents Watch is also at the lowest price I've ever seen it (from the UK) - goldsmiths.co.uk/Lim…27/

there is no way Goldsmiths even had stock of that watch in the 1st place, my brother works for Omega and the only stock new of that watch is Regent Street London. You can find pre owned ones, but other than that they are sold out.

I brought the Aquaracer calibre 5 yesterday for £998 down from £1600. it's the older model with the black numbers on, should be here today.
I worked hard and saved my hard earned cash and treated myself. I know this deal isn't for everyone so hay ho

And so you should enjoy your hard earned cash, just because its an expensive watch its still a deal regardless

Good price for a classic looking watch

I did wonder, as I've not seen it in stock anywhere. Thanks for that though, I appreciate the time to let me know. I guess I'll just have to pluck for a normal Speedmaster instead.
If you buy a 7k Rolex you don't boast about it

Anyway, save your pennies for a IWC Portuguese if you want a true classic watch

Hubby is a watch fanatic, he's on the waiting list for the Snoopy and thats having someone on the inside, Regent Street London have one of the above watches and are giving a free service with it, we were quite fortunate and managed to get one on release but paid £4400. Def worth having a proper moonwatch if you like your watches.

Good on ya, enjoy it! Just be careful with the crown on the Calibre 5, some had a habit of coming out when changing the time (at which point they need sending off to TH), so make sure it's all ok when you get it.

Yeah, I think I'll revert to plan A and go for a moonwatch. The only issue I have then is do I go for the plexiglass and have that authentic look, or do I go crystal glass knowing that it'll be one I probably pass onto my son in 30 years... Hmm.

To be fair, for 7k in 1991 I'd expect a special looking Daytona or something of that ilk. IWC doesn't really cut it in that company. Though I'd hazard a guess for 7k in 1991 you could have got a nice Patek Philippe which is a real luxury watch.

Personally the plexiglass and manual wind, keep it as close to the original as you can, also the plexiglass might scratch easier but can be polished out and will not shatter or chip.
lol, tag isnt the best brand, just lots of marketing to make it look pretty , the watch will hold no value if you try and sell it. my opinion would be to get an omega speedmaster or something thats a true luxury watch

Clueless is the person who think a semi mass produced IWC is superior to a Patek!
