Pretty self explanatory, a TAG for £21.56 a month, cheaper than a phone contract.

AMJwatches are extremely well known and highly respected.

What mug?

Brand name wannabes.

that's a great watch for £20 a month. I don't really care what the guy next to me is wearing.

You'll be lucky if it lasts the 4 years, add on servicing too.

I'd love a Tag but they keep such poor time.

Bought my Tag in 1990, wear it almost every day and it has always kept perfect time. Great watches, good deal.

Why would it keep poor time..... Its quartz ?
Even a cheap Chinese made quartz movement is likely to keep good time.

Or £920 'cash' at The Watch Source, so £230 for the 0% credit agreement.

Or 'Only £76.67/month for 6 months with 0% APR', or 'Only £38.33/month for 12 months with 0% APR'With 50% Deposit'

Top money for the chavist brand of watch.Tells the time that's it.Ill use my phone for the same thing.

Not a great price, its the same price in Ernest Jones, Goldsmiths and Beaverbrooks. All the big stores, which people have heard from. Again I'm sure they do interest free credit. AMJ, never heard of it???

Though if you need to get credit for a watch, save your money and buy a cheap Casio.

very tempted with this great offer, fantastic find.

I have a turkish Tag. Keeps perfect time. Cost a far less than the one above!

Bad shout that lad, how is it chav when its £1000. I dont own one or would like to pay that much for one but chav is a silly word to use. Stop your nonsense or look for a strap you can put your iphone 3 on your wrist with

I agree with the credit comment, perhaps a self winding one on the right wrist would be better suited.

Agree what a stupid word that gets thrown about all too easy. Oh that guys got a tag he is a chav, oh he has a north face jacket he is a chav, oh he has Lacoste trainers he is a chav. Get a grip of yourself not everyone wants to wear brown clark shoes and grey combats with a green check shirt and tie. Bore off.

RRP price to start with, so basically its interest free credit to pay full price for it... undecided as i know TAG watches get decent discounts within weeks of launch

This one works out even cheaper @ £17.81 a month. I am weighing up between the two.

amjwatches.co.uk/tag…tml

Nice watch, but £230 above the watch source makes it a cold deal, I reckon. You could buy it on credit card and then transfer it to 0% one or similar. A lot of watch snobs don't like the fact that the low end Tags are not mechanical, but I think they look lovely and they feel heavy, and very well made.

Maintenance on a quartz is also higher than automatics, since the back has to be opened every year to replace the battery. Opening the back breaks seals, lets dust and moisture in etc.

I'd also state that 4 years to pay off a watch is a long time. Watch buffs tend to have a penchant for escalating their habit, and the novelty of this watch will wear off very soon indeed. By month 3 you'll see it as a massive millstone around your neck which you'll need to pay off before moving up to a lovely automatic Omega, Tudor or Rolex or something similar.

My advice would be to save up at least half and then pay it off over 6-12 months. Enjoy it during that period, since it'll lose quite a bit of value and save like mad so you can use it as deposit for something with more lasting value. Basically a Rolex (second-hand). It's the entry-level for watches that don't lose value so readily.

I don't own a Rolex, but I appreciate the workmanship and its good residuals to be able to pass onto my boy when he gets older.

Yeah, I did do my research, it's just having the flexibility to pay over such a long period at 0% interest free I mainly posted this for. It will suit some like myself.

If you can't afford to buy this watch upfront, then you shouldn't be wearing a TH.

AMJ, never heard of it???

You were implying they aren't a reputable retailer, or did your ''?'' key get stuck?

I can understand people using credit for cars, and mortgages. This watch will not hold its Value, most Tags don't, so it's not an investment.

I choose to buy appreciating assets (shares, properties, bonds) outright and then rent/HP depreciating ones (watches, cars, boats, planes)... Does that make me a mug???!

No it was in your statement, which you said 'extremely well known and highly respected' so again not implying anything, just making a statement. I'm sure theirs a lot of people who have never heard of them before.

They are a Tag dealer, not just any dealer can become an authorised dealer. Though that's because I've looked them up. It still does not negate the FACT, that before this, 'I'VE NEVER HEARD of THEM'.

Clear enough??

Anyway save your money up, walk into Goldsmiths and ask for discount. I've often got 20% off with cash in hand. Because everyone has heard of Goldsmiths.

It's a deal if you really have to have 4 years. And clearly it is appealing to some. Therefore, I voted hot. But my advice is not to rush into it, as you will really despise the monthly payments 4 years down the line. Save a bit then pay it off quicker.
