Tag under 700! I was iffy about the design but went to the store and checked it out. It looks and feels much more than a 700 quid watch.

It is quartz movement but seems it is a great deal. Quidco 12%

is tracked but not sure if it will go through!

I think it looks really naff - especially with the little Gulf sticker - just sayin likes.

I thought the same.. but in the flesh it looks much better

Gulf has been in F1 and Motorsport for many years, if you were a Motorsport fan you'd understand the significance.

To be fair, it looks nothing like a Tag, more of a cheapo Argos watch......

Wouldn't spend £7 on it, never mind £700

I hate that style of watch.

I'd rather buy an iphone and strap it to my arm.

...and I hate iphones.

I don't mind the style, but near £700 for a quartz watch? Madness.

I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've bought a car for less than that...........not a formula 1 obviously................and to be fair, that was many many years ago X)

Good on ya mate, have some heat!

If I saw you wearing it I'd assume you were a rep

It's a shame that my tesco vouchers are not worth 4 X in vouchers like they were at Christmas. I would be straight down to get one I love the Tag F1

shame it's not this Gulf Tag for £700 (these are about £4k)...

Of Tag, I only like the monaco series...though I doubt if I can ever afford one

Yes, but these have high quality mechanical movements.

I don't mind the look, but I couldn't spend £700 on a quartz.

is it the stainless steel or leather strap that comes with it?

Okay, so a watch for £700 advertising a petrol station

is it the stainless steel or leather strap that comes with it?

You are really only buying it for the brand.

It is not an attractive watch.

stainless steel

I prefur the Tag Heuer Formula 1 cac1110 -0 . Which you can pick up on Ebay for around the £350 mark in good nick.
Or if you're looking for something a little cheaper the Orient Mako. Best watches around for the price!

They'll be about as real as Katie Price's boobs.
If you're going to spend several hundred pounds on a watch you should buy it from a reputable retailer.

Well i didn't mean brand new at that price. But i was lucky enough to find my Tag Heuer for £340 with all the paper work and receipt's of a collecter who wore it about 3 times. And it looks a damn site better than katie price's boobs!!

Fakes come with all the relevant faked paperwork.

They also look very realistic, I have been looking into getting an expensive watch but it really is a minefield.

Vile looking thing and agree with the cost/quartz angle but in the interest of fairness Ive added heat anyway as it is a good price if you want one!

I heated it also.

On further look, I actually quite like it with the stainless strap.

Does anyone know how many were manufactured?

I do not think Quidco will work but hopefully it does, It specifies that it will not work on sale items.

I didn't get a specific certificate as such.

fugly...

The F1 Tag watches are horrible.

I bought a Tag Heuer limited edition Ayrton Senna link watch new about 12 years ago. It cost around £2k but looks and feels quality compared to this cheap looking Tag,

My advice, buy something else or spend more.

Banned

I think it's worth the money and I quite like it.

My tag auto iv had for years and they are good strong watches. They also go up in price as today's equivalent watch is a grand more than I paid.

The quartz isn't so bad. No need to worry about keeping it would and cheaper to service. I say hot for this watch

But this is the new version of the F1 which comes in at 44mm case size and not 40mm as the cac1110 -0. 40 mm is just too small nowadays for a man, unless you have arms like matchsticks.

Not my cup of tea but if you want a cheapish piece of horology, then you could do a lot worse

oohflamey

40 mm is too small for a man nowadys? What the....?. Have mens arms shrunk then in the last few years?
Dude not everyone has arms like the Michelin Man ok.

And please expalin how it's a cheapish piece of horology?

Untill then stick to your Casio F-91W-1YER and troll somewhere else.

If men's arms had shrunk I would suggest getting a smaller watch not a larger one.....
42mm is the usual minimum size of modern watches Tag Grand Calibre start at 42mm even Rolex have nodded to this fact and produced a 43 mm Sea Dweller, Hublot start at 44(mens) and go 50+ with their diver so perhaps you should read up on what you're talking about before you tell people they're trolling

its a cheapish piece of horology, as it is a long serving part of the Tag family and its not a 30k Mikograph ergo its cheap but still expensive for a quartz movement but gets you on the ladder.

Was that your Casio F-91W-1YER ?as judging by your reading ability I am doubtful you can tell the time either.

*yawns* Go tell your life story to someone who cares.

Ugly and you could probably buy it in China for 5 bones.

Looks like the sort of Tag you'd buy at a supermarket in Greece.
Next to the 'Ray-Ban' selection.

I hate the idea of having a £700 watch poncing around on my arm.
I'd be disgusted with myself.
I've met a few successful businessmen, and millionaires before,
and you know what they wear? The modest Casio F-91W-1YER.
