Gents F1 Tag Heuer. save £360. Other colours available. Bought an Aquaracer from Goldsmiths last year and went into shop to get it adjusted...they said they would price match it from online (but would have lost quidco). Thats for anyone who likes to try before they buy.
Not everyone likes watches at this price - as comments last year proved- but this site is for saving money. And if this deal helps one person save £360 then my good deed for day is done.

Got one of these from a lucky lucky man 2 years ago for a fiver. Does the hands on yours go backwards like mine? Well they did for the 4 days it was working

I love Tag watches. I personally think this is hideous though.

Not sure about those SUPER SIZE numbers around the outside.. you used to be able to exchange tesco vouchers for 4x the value in goldsmith pounds.

you can also get this on the o% finance option

trying to post the goldsmiths sale as lots of deals apart from this one. yes 0% finance. and good quidco - 5% on all sale items and it tracks fast.

A cheap quartz watch with a chav badge. The Superdry of watches. Ignore the chav badge for a minute and you'll realise this watch is worth £50-£60 tops. For less money you can buy a high quality watch with a robust mechanical movement such as a Sinn or even a Seiko Monster. Your mates down the pub might be less impressed but you can basque in the satisfaction of owning a proper watch rather than flaunting a grossly overpriced chav badged cheapo quartz item.

wearing a seiko monster is like having a dinner plate strapped to your wrist. they are grotesquely huge and no good for my job. it limits movement underwater.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they do 4x the value again, as they did last year in November, I've been saving my vouchers for the past 2 years to buy a Tag for my sons '21st'

they only do 4x at Christmas time now and you cant use Tesco vouchers on any sale item you will have to pay the full price

A 42mm dinner plate which "limits" your movement. What are you, a squirrel ?

If you want a smaller watch with a cheap quartz movement then fair enough but these are available from about £5 upwards. £50 will buy you a decent one of comparable quality to this Tag. And as an added bonus you don't have to suffer the chav label on your wrist.

I thought Rolex now do official F1 timing? Rather than Tag Heuer?

Anyway, what's the point in adding 'Formula 1' to the name of this watch?!

and the smaller / cheaper watch will keep my timings right under water. I dont think so. you ever been underwater with a seiko 'monster' on. Its rightly named. maybe cheap and they are reliable but not what is required when your working. unless youve got wrists like cankles.

A 21st Birthday gift is always a special present, and especially so when from a parent. Can I suggest that while something like the Tag Heuer in this deal may have a lot of presence (it is a striking watch, if you are looking for this style of timepiece), it will never become an heirloom. All movements, whether quartz or mechanical, will eventually wear out, but only mechanical movements are able to be maintained and repaired indefinitely by skilled watchmakers. You want to keep a 21st present from a parent for life - that is why I urge you to consider a quality mechanical / automatic movement - from around £300 upwards from makers like Christopher Ward / Hamilton / Longines. I still regularly wear the Smiths Imperial 9ct Gold watch my grandmother bought my grandfather for their Ruby Wedding anniversary - in 1963

But if your son is committed to a 'Diver' style watch, then what about this, at £790?

wound up.......... lolz

I just don't get why anyone would spend this sort of cash on a quartz watch

very silly amount of money to spend on a watch imo

Thanks for the deal diddly1,they are indeed a great watch... Bought the limited edition Gulf version from Beaverbrooks last month for the same price. Now all sold out !!! Have owed many watches from Rolex to Timex and have to say this is great value for money. Job changes current economic climate etc etc have forced me to downgrade from the Rolex. ARRRRRHHH i hear you all cry. HE HE

also 2% TBC on sale items or 10% TBC on non sale items.

Quartz keeps more accurate time...mechanical watches need expensive servicing if you want to keep them going for ever...

There is no hope for my 55mm U-Boat

Quartz all the way for me - much more reliable and doesn't lose time. By the time the battery has been replaced a couple of times the glass is usually a bit scratched or the strap needs work - say after 5 years. Added to that fashions change - who wants to be stuck with the same design for 50 years?

my first ever tag watch was a formula 1 with rubber strap. now classed as retro / vintage and prices going up. glad I kept it and all docs. in box.

That would be like the size of the sun to squirrel arm.

Hukd? Can you find it cheaper?

There should be two votes, one is it the cheapest available, second do you like the colour.........

So what it's 'too much' to spend on a watch. Lots of people do it or the companies wouldn't be around.

Looks dreadful. Wouldn't pay £100 for that.

while this is a reduced price and as such was voted hot - Tag, watches are dreadful quality - Mine went back for numerous repairs from new and was eventually replaced under goodwill for an equally awful thing that I sold on ebay, to recoup some of my losses.

They do not keep good time, are not well made and at £125 for a service to maintain the guarantee, are not even cheap to own. I would say style over substance but they don't look that stylish any more.. please do not waste your money on a tag..

Some designs are timeless - As I said in an earlier post, I still regularly wear a watch which was purchased in 1963. Not dated; simply understated elegance.

Firstly, great deal! Big saving on RRP.

I'd agree with the mechanical watch boys in here though, but that's just personal choice. If I'm going to spend a lot of money on a watch, I want real time and effort to have been invested in putting something together with a little more finesse and tradition. This explains it pretty well: Your text here
