Great deal! Usually 75p each, ideal for cooking. No more peeling crushing and it's cheaper too! Love this company they do Ginger/Garlic/ Mix all frozen! Also no additives or preservatives TAJ has been doing it for a while!

Been buying it from ASDA for years (many other people have as well) love this cheaper than fresh too!

They also do some indian vegetables you can buy in the same freezer at great deals like this!

Enjoy!

Also use these and picked some up yesterday but didn't think to post!

This is good , really fresh and easy , also no waste at all

This stuff is great, I always have some in the freezer. 2 of these cubes and a big hunk of butter melted on low in microwave makes fantastic garlic bread.

How's the flavour with these? And what's the expiry dates on them?

they do stink the freezer out though even when sealed so dont store them near icelollys and things like that we made that mistake:|

I found the same thing recently I can't look at magnums the same way again.

Although the product is brilliant! I make pizza from scratch including the dough and the garlic goes great cooked in with the toppings

Taaj isn't it

Really good for curries, both the garlic and ginger. Both lack the fresh 'bite' of using the real thing, but much better than the stuff you get in jars that can leave a sour / vinegary taste. It's just so convenient to have in the freezer, instead of going to use the rest of the fresh ginger you bought 6 weeks ago and finding a dried out husk. Heat added.

I much prefer fresh garlic but frozen ginger is brilliant. I can't find it at Tesco or Sainsburys any more.

the chopped spinach is also two for £1.00
and the crushed green chillies same

all in same section

Thanks, such a time saver when cooking! Heat from me!

very nice and convenient

Convenient yes, but the garlic lacks "bite" and sharpness and the consistency is a little watery once defrosted.

Thanks for the heat guys! I used to use minced in a jar but the chemical nature of additives puts me off always, also These last way longer! Gonna try that pizza idea! Never had an issue with TAJ Oh yeah and be careful, I tried a cofresh or some other copy and found hairs in the block huge put off!

Couldn't agree more. Is it really that much of an effort to chop and peel fresh ginger and garlic?

Our Asda stopped stocking these, so disappointed as they were great

Frozen is actually very fresh - often frozen quickly after harvest and preparation , and IMO much better than a jar which often has preservatives such as vinegar which alters the flavour , I've tried both and I think it's a fresher product .its a personal choice

Good stuff this, thanks for the heads up OP

Same , they now only stock the ones in little red trays which probably work out as 600% more expensive than these Taj ones weight for weight.

Probably because we live in areas where pizza and chips are on the menu 7 days a week.
