Do people really use these? I can understand the value of where honey is constantly used by a pastry chef or by guests at a hotel but surely at home you would waste loads by having to clean off what is left over each time. A tea spoon is surely more economical?
You’re not supposed to clean it every time! Leave it in the jar with the notched lid… (but that isn’t included…)

I wonder if anyone has ever bought one?
I have in the past and just got a few now. Made a few honey pots in pottery classes as gifts for friends. Time to make some more!

Just in case anyone needs the heads-up.
The idea is to twiddle it so that the rotation catches the drip before it detaches. Keep twiddling until it is over the target, then stop to allow the honey to run. Twiddle again to prevent dripping on the way back to the jar. Really works.

Now, where can I get (at a reasonable price) some nice plain jars (up to 500g capacity) with notched lids, so that the honey lifter can be left in the jar - like a bigger version of an old mustard pot?
As a hobby beekeeper, I’m disappointed with the orientally decorated products I have encountered. (edited)

    Spoon anyone?
A knife is superior, ensures no waste as you can scrape it on the jar.
