A warm welcome from a wild sea

Made by the sea

Talisker Storm is a truly tempestuous Single Malt.

No whisky reveals the character of its birthplace better than Talisker®

To know Talisker is to feel the power of the sea, and sense its rugged location on the banks of Loch Harport, on the foreboding Isle of Skye.

"Talisker Storm" takes this most intense of experiences to a new level. The sweet warmth and briny, peppery finish that are the symbol of the Talisker character have been carefully accentuated through a skilful blend of differing ages Talisker casks.

The profound maritime character achieves a deeper intensity, like a warm welcome form a wild Hebridean sea.

Been keeping an eye on this for a while, was waiting for sub £30 but this is still a bargain.

how much is it normally
Usually it's about £40 but has been as high as £45.
The thing i'I've noticed though, is the price doesn't drop very often like say Glen Livet or Jura.
Well spotted, thanks
Very lukewarm reviews. Standard 10yo Talisker isn't to my taste (salty and smoky) and the reviews say this is even saltier and smokier. if it is your thing then it is a good price. However, IMO there are better malts to be had around this price point.

Voted hot for the price as the world doesn't revolve around me (unfortunately)
I like my peaty malts, not seen or tried this. What age is it, any idea pls?
just found this on Master of Malts website

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Initial brine, but not as abrupt as the 10 Year Old, quite creamy by comparison. Banana. Banana angel delight? Window putty, hint of sticking plasters and barbecues, citrus. White pepper develops towards the bottom of the glass.
Palate: Thick and mouth-coating with wood smoke, brine, some tin and chilli heat too.
Finish: Red chilli peppers and oak dryness with a hint of embers.
Overall: A welcome addition to the Talisker range, and probably the smokiest whisky to be produced on the Isle of Skye.
As with all whisky its purely down to personal taste.
One man's peat is another man's smoke.
Then point of this site is to spot a bargain.
This price is the cheapest this year hence the post.
I hope it helps someone out
Ill give it a go. Thanks for posting
