If Quidco works, effectively £8.30/month for 12Gb with tethering, 5000 mins and texts with a decent network of Vodafone. Its 3G as of now but 4G is expected soon. See if its useful for some one.

4g data? anyone had experience of talk mobile?

I have them. They cover almost everywhere and its decent coverage by Vodafone. At present 3G speed in which I can watch videos. 4G is expected soon they say. I cant say when though.

My partner has been with these for the last 6 months no issues, 3G works fine for video and Internet, I think sometimes people mention 4g but I didn't notice the difference

I would at least not expect any signal..

Didn't Talk Mobile recently have a 15GB plan on a 30 day contract with a similar minute and text allowance for £15 a month?

Good luck trying to use 12gb on Vodafone.

I'm genuinely curious, enlighten me please?. :-)

Rubbish customer service.

A year ago I contacted Talkmobile to see when 4G was arriving on their network. They told me that it was "coming soon".
If 4G is important to you, don't hold your breath.

This is a good deal if you don't have any problems, but Google search for the reviews of their customer service before taking the plunge.

I had a contract with them for one year for my son and they are good. As Ixx said, dont hold your breath for 4G. I bought the contract last year through tcb and for a strange reason they paid the cashback twice making the effective cost £2.8/month for 3000min, 5000txt and 4GB data...did not complain

Think the next moon landings will occur before they enable 4g as they've promised it for years. At least you don't have to set data limits for this deal as you'd never manage to exceed it in a month on Vodafone speed 3g speeds.
It's a good deal for those that can put up with slower data, I got my daughter a deal with them as they're value for money.

Yes, I have read that its comming in the New Year; on the o2 platform (TT are switching networks). Make sure your hand set is unlocked, mine isn't so Im trying to get it done at present.

Stand outside the Vodafone shop in Lichfield and try and watch a YouTube vide or something, you'll see what I mean.

I've found the reception patchy in South London and almost non-existent in Orpington /Kent which is where I work so I had to cancel. It was a good deal, I had the 15GB for £15 a month rolling 30 day contract. No complaints about the speed on 3G when reception was good, i.e. when I went into London. Customer services were great, didn't have to wait on hold at all, and gave me a PAC code as soon as I wanted it. I would say this is a great deal if you're not bothered about superfast 4G and have decent Vodafone signal in your area. I've gone for the Three all-in-one 30GB package for £18 a month, fingers crossed that will be better.

Fair enough.

Vodafonica Cornerstone is probably still not complete in areas, they were running way over due a year ago.

I have crap o2 and Vodafone coverage indoors - 2G. Ha

You're mixing up Talk Mobile with TalkTalk Mobile.

Talk Mobile is owned and run by Vodafone, runs on the Vodafone 2G and 3G networks, and Vodafone does not plan to offer 4G at the moment on Talk Mobile.

TalkTalk Mobile is owned and run by TalkTalk, and piggybacks on the Vodafone 2G/3G networks. They plan to switch to O2 for personal customers in the future so that they can offer 4G, but a date has not been set. They do however offer TalkTalk Mobile plans running on O2 2G/3G and 4G plans right now to business customers only.

I'm sorry, but this is incorrect.

I have insider knowledge of the telecoms industry and can tell you this:

Vodafone and O2 have the most widespread 2G networks in the UK (calls, texts and slow GPRS data). They don't necessarily share each other's 2G networks, except in cases where mast sites have been 'Cornerstoned' (see below)
MBNL (this is a joint venture between EE and Three) has the biggest 3G network (calls, texts and fast data) by far. EE and Three cover the widest geographical area and cover more of the population for 3G than any other network in the UK.
EE has the biggest and fastest 4G network, by a long shot!
Three has the smallest 4G network, by a long shot!
EE has the most 4G frequencies.
Cornerstone (Vodafone and O2's partnership) is working hard to improve their 4G rollout across the UK but are still trailing EE.

So:
Vodafone/O2: great for calls, texts and GPRS data almost everywhere
Great for 4G in many areas across the UK, but still trail EE. Cornerstone is improving this however. Not so great 3G coverage, but in areas which have been 'Cornerstoned' will also improve 3G coverage.

EE: Very good 2G network for calls, texts and GPRS data, most widespread 3G and 4G network coverage based on geography and population

Three: Do not possess or operate a 2G network but piggyback on EE 2G in rare instances such as very remote locations. Most widespread 3G coverage based on geography and location (shared with EE thanks to MBNL). Least widespread 4G coverage.

Didn't realise that suttle difference. I've got TT mobile and was told last month that they plan to start distributing replacement o2 sims from early New year.

Coverage should never be mentioned in any deal.
I've never lived anywhere where Vodafone's network hasn't been brilliant, yet so many people complain about it.
You've got to choose whatever works in your area.

Ordered this via TCB 51.75 and it's tracked too

Bloody bargain!!!:)

The idea of a MOBILE phone is that you don't have to stand in one place all the time mate.

4g data? anyone had experience of talk mobile?

I'm using Talkmobile for an year now. The network is as good as Vodafone, but their customer support is exceptionally good. I'd stick to them just because of this.

well I went to go for this but rang my 3 network I have been with since 2013 and told them I am going with the above, she said hang on I will speak with manager, come back a few minutes later and offered me unlimited minutes and texts and 4gb of 4g data for £9.99 a month , so stayed with three network.

Just signed up for this deal. Went through TopCashback instead. £54.62 tracked within minutes. Happy days!
