Theres a great Broadband and Phone deal from TalkTalk at the moment if you go via the Comparethemarket website.

It's £27.50pm fixed price for 18 months and includes 76MB Fibre Broadband and anytime calls to both landline and mobiles. There's no setup fees and no additional cost for things like Caller Display, Call Waiting, Ring Back etc.

Total cost for 18 months is £495.

Remember you'll also qualify for 2 for 1 cinema tickets and a meerkat toy

You need to be quick though as it looks like the offer finishes 2nd November.

I'm guessing you'll need to go via the comparethemarket website instead of the link above. I tried going via TCB too but you don't get the free anytime calls package then.

My contract with BT has just run out. The best retention deal they were offering me was Inifinity 1 with weekend calls for £30.99.

That's referring to the data breach in 2015. I'd imagine their security measures have been stepped up since then.

Been with talktalk over six months, only had to use customer service once, fast to respond and sorted within minutes. Compared to BT they are are breath of fresh air, mind, compared to BT a cow patt smells fresh

Trust pilot reviews aren’t great! They have an average score of 3.4 out of 10 and a rating of poor! Though I can’t comment as was with them a few years back and they were crap! But good to know your own experience of them moorjock is good

I did try going via Topcashback but by doing that you don’t get the free anytime calls. They are an extra £7.50 making the total monthly cost £35

By most you mean just Talktalk and Three. Also fined again in August of this year for still not learning.

Talktalk fined again

With the worst aggressive sales technique out there, and when you see these people in shops, shopping centres and door to door, just watch them walking away to approach a customer while leaving details of other customers sitting for anyone to see or lift.

Do hold another good record.

Good deal, bad company. They once offered me free basic broadband for a year, which I refused.

Are TT customers the same people you see scavenging for cigarette butts in the streets??

I ditched the Broadband & Landline with them after 4 years. The final year was painful. I specifically asked them to make a note on their system that said "I will not take up your service even if you offer it to me for free"

Good riddance!

Think you’ll find this fee doesn’t include anytime calls, it’s an extra boost that can be added or removed, costs about £5 p/m

Still awful. I'm stuck with them until next June at which point I will be going back to either Sky or Plusnet. Only have regular broadband and it's slow but not terrible but dealing with customer services is another story. Shockingly awful!

I have not got a clue what you are on about; do iPhones rot the brain as well??

I had a decent experience with talktalk until I moved to virgin. Good speeds and no problems with the service. I would recommend them.

Not a bad deal for someone who needs a faster broadband but for now I'm ok with my basic 17mbps

I joined 2 weeks ago as im out of contract on BT and usually go with the best deal available every year.
I got a call saying that the order failed and I need to cancel my BT and then re-try joining talktalk. Bearing in mind they are supposed to have a dedicated switching service who do all this for you?
I experienced quite a few calls with them. Let me just say that I am now not joining talktalk due to there poor customer services it put me right off.

Moved from TT to BT and perfect timing now to move back to TT. Never again BT for me

I have to say I found her very helpful, although I'm not sure having to email the CEO to finally get someone to cancel my account is good customer service, My parents were left without a phone for 9 weeks as Talk Talk were convinced the problem was related to a cable fault in another part of the town, the fact that they still had an internet connection so it couldn't possibly be due to the cable fault didn't seem to register with them, we had to wait for the cable fault to be fixed before they would even consider investigating the phone fault. Never ever again.......

Only 38mbps, but i got sky fibre unlimited with line rental and anytime landline & mobile calls for £18 a month on an existing customer deal. Never had any problems.
Edited by: "saintscouple" 31st Oct

if calls isnt your thing, you can get their 76mb for 27£ plus 50tcb making is 25£ for 18m
ill be moving to this as my BT deal from last year is coming to an end and the best they can do is as someone mentioned above, 30ish for 18m 76mb

To a TT apologist?? No Chance, and they didnt have ONE hack, they have had multiple hacks over the past 48 months; their security is a joke, and so are the people who use them because they are "CHEAP"; especially those who forget the words that usually follow "CHEAP" are "AND NASTY".

if you are tight enough to think they are a good ISP, you are tight enough to pick up butts and use both sides of the toilet paper.

Cheers OP ordered. Switching from BeeTee to ChatChat. Wish me luck.

Wouldn't go with Talk Talk even if they paid me. Which they actually did after I schooled these fools through the ombudsman after they thought they could rob me and cut me off.

Calm down gentlemen/ladies, it's just broadband. TalkTalk might be crap but let people find out for themselves. People are still attracted to the lowest price and take things for face value and so be it. I'd only get peed off if one of my family ignored my recommendation, don't be surprised if people don't go by what some random person on a forum says. It's hard enough to find a product I want to buy on Amazon that I've no personal experience of before because there's always those one or two reviews that put you off.

Ice cold. Really, don’t take this deal - it isn’t worth the aggravation over the poor service delivered. And, btw, I have been paying £25/month for this exact deal, but wouldn’t post it as a HotUKDeal because it’s frankly rubbish.

Like previous poster, I also had to explain to TT that I was leaving them and that even a free service wouldn’t be worth keeping - such was the unreliability of their broadband. They were unable to resolve reliability issues, so (eventually) agreed to halve my exit fee, which still wasn’t great since I’d been paying for a service that clearly wasn’t being delivered.

New provider (Virgin) also chipping in £70 towards TT exit costs, so I’m about cost neutral, and the monthly costs are now £2 less for same deal but with 100 Mbps and cabled-in connection which I’m informed by neighbours works very well in my area. Here’s hoping....

Wish I had Fibre available. It is available everywhere around, but not here...

If you are just outside of what the big boys think is acceptable, you can sometimes find some of the smaller ISPs will still try and hook you up; the big players are worried by the "Average Speed" they have to give in adverts now, so deliberatly put off customers who are going to drag down the average.

I cannot remember which one, but I read a few months ago that one of the big four were starting to refuse VDSL customers if their line speed was predicted to be below 20Mbps.

Outside of the official VDSL limits usually means speeds of 8-12Mbps at best, but if you are like my friends, - on a 0.2Mb line, 10Mb seems like a dream.

Been with talktalk for years never had a serious problem and always great value 38mb fibre with 10mb upload line rental free sim card about £25 per month will switch to above deal when possible

^^I am on almost the same deal, £27 a month, and i have to say i have not had any issue with them, plus i get a free mobile sim with free unlimited text, 300 mins a month, and their broadband fibre is actually quite good, never had any issue streaming anything, it can even handle 4k streaming at 35mb.

I usually jump betwen Talk talk and plus net when my time is up, and it costs me nothing and usually i gain from it.
