Talk Talk - Sky sports (6 Channels For £11 a month from £30 - rolling monthly contract for 9 month season)

Purely based on the maths, it looks like TalkTalk is currently the most affordable option for Sky Sports, which will be showing nearly 110 Premier League matches over the course of the season. (Note that it won't be offering Champions League football as in previous years though).

TalkTalk's new Sky Sports Season Ticket add-on is good for the nine-month Premier League season and costs just £11 a month, or 92p a match. That compares favourably to the cost of getting Sky Sports through Sky itself.

No lengthy contract - just pay a month at a time if you already have a talk talk youview box.

Offer available until 01/10/2015

Yes that's great IF you have a sky sub this is with talk talk ive been doing the odd week on nowtv which cost £10.99 so this is a no brainer.

Before I do this tho .... are there any other charges for using the tv service once I hook the box up ?
I have had nothing but trouble with Talk Talk. They are lying, incompetent couldn't care less'ers. You will need a translator to understand half of them. If your like me you wont even get the product and then have to chase them to get your money back.
Steer clear of Talk Talk.
My 5 eggs n all that!

i'll agree with you on the customer service if you have a problem is awful ( use the forums is best ) , but when it works its normally flawless
As a TalkTalk user that's tried their Sky Sports offering I'd caution that the feed TalkTalk give you is very variable in quality terms. About the best you can get is slightly below SD broadcast (Freeview) quality, and the worst is *much* worse. Here's a link to a thread I raised on the TalkTalk forums that has some sample pictures.
Is this not a boost? How much is the base TV, and does this require broadband?

the "base" tv is free . its basically freeview channels . The box comes free with with a TT contract . The "boosts " are basically how services like nowtv work . but looking at pricing , the TT offer for sports is miles better . The entertainment package with nowtv is better tho.

And "YES " you do need an internet connection with TT for the offer ... 5mb speeds or above

"Coupling the Sky Sports boost with an entry-level TalkTalk TV package, that's a total cost of ownership of £189 over nine months".

That works out at £21 a month for 9 months, so is base TV not £10?

Looking at it from my contract and also a new contract , it depends..... you obviously have to pay line rental ..... the essentials package ( which any sane person gets ) covers you for free evening and weekend calls , which is £10 .

this is :-

Totally unlimited Broadband
Free evening and weekend calls
7 day catch up on your TV
Up to 30 minutes pause and rewind TV
Free YouView box (usually £149)

The Op is missing a few points on total cost ... being an existing sub does make a difference

Thanks for the info - inlaws have talktalk telephone & broadband, but sky TV. Just downgraded sports due to the end of a discount. Sky has 30% off which I think takes it to £17, so this might be an option.
this deal deserves better heat than what its getting
