Hi there. Just called Talkmobile to cancel my contract in order to switch to the plusnet deal recently posted on here. The guy i spoke to informed me that talkmobile we're being switched over to Vodafone (i know, i know, i've heard the stories). He said that they were offering all talkmobile customers 50% off vodafone sim-only contracts in order to retain them. The contract is 12 months. It seemed like a reasonable deal, so i went with it. Good luck

Why is vodafone getting rid of its cheap brand! O2 isn't nor is BT with plusnet! Should've lainched 4g and stayed competitive silly vodafone! People will leave in their droves!

Voda has to bump its numbers up, people are leaving in droves, as it started in AU years ago it buys up its resellers and integrates - when moved to Vodafone TM customers will get 4G. Keep a hold of them 30 day 15GB/£15 plans!

It's good but it's not great.

aren't Talkmobile already using the Vodafone network?

Talkmobile IS 100% owned by Vodafone.

Is this deal TalkTalk mobile and not Talkmobile ? Talkmobile are owned 100% by Vodafone already.

I think it is Talkmobile as their website appears to have changed and you have to call to place an order, along with their sim only deals have been removed, even the old £5.00 tariff. But yes you are correct, it already belongs to Vodafone so no idea why they seem to be running it down. Maybe cost savings as usual and the sim only deals too cheap. It is a shame really as I have been with them for many years with contracts for all the family and never had a problem, great prices & service.

Vodafone said that they were reducing their MVNO partners a couple of years ago, with Sainsbury's Mobile being the first to go.

I've used Talkmobile in the past, so to see yet another reduction in Vodafone's MVNO offering this doesn't look good.
Vodafone have always been very reliable where I live, but they themselves are too expensive and their customer service went downhill years ago.

Thats why vodafone are so crap! The whole point of a cheap offering is if people want a cheap mvno the you can use this! Also some might not even know its owned by voda! With all the others having cheap mvnos voda have just gifted them even more customers! Its a mistake mark my words!

I actually spoke to a woman the other day to cancel the contract i'd arranged after the negative feedback on here. She basically said they'd be ringing customer on Talk mobile in order to get them to switch. I imagine they'll eventually give you a call to inform you that they'll be stopping them.

Hi guys. Thanks for your response on this page. I actually decided not to go for the contract, called them and cancelled. Ended up going for one of the S7 edge deals from Mobile phones direct. £28 a month, phone included, 30gb data, unlimited calls, unlimited texts. Bargain

Where do the rate tarts go. My phone is locked to Voda. I can only think of Lebara but that is expensive. Do Voda do a 5p classic rate like o2 . What is their basic payg rates

What phone do you have maybe see about getting a unlock code from eBay??? Then you can use any network
