Excellent deal for a 30 day rolling contract
Less than £10
Talkmobile uses Vodafone network and hence coverage should not be an issue
Switched from O2 to this and the signal strength had improved a lot - both 2G an 3G

Personally I don`t like virtual operators and moreover - contracts with them, even for one month. As for the deal, giffgaff, vectone and other virtual operators doing the same or even better deals. Would better go through Quidco for O2,Vodafone or T-Mobile,U can get 12 months sim only as little as £4 after Quidco cashback ( done it last year with O2: 12 months sim only,£10 a month,Quidco paid £100,so all I had to pay was tiny £1.67 a month.)

Depends on usage, £2 more is not worth it for some people

well its only £2 more a month but its 25% more to pay £10 instead of £8 a month.

Depends if you prefer o2 network or Vodafone network

IMO, these deals are always worth posting because of the 30day rolling part. It often helps someone out who is between contracts and not looking for a 12/24 month one at that time. Hot.

GiffGaff (O2) is crap for 3G, Vodafone is far superior so I'd much rather have the TalkMobile package that gives me a much better signal and also save £2 per month even if it is slighly less on the package content.

Of course if all you want is mass texts and a few extra minutes then the GiffGaff deal would be more appealing however for the good all round need then I would defo go for TalkMobile.

On a slight separate note, 3 are doing their 300mins, unlimited texts and internet for £10 a month. its a 12 month contract but they have an excellent 3G network and I think the £54 something cashback is available which makes it around £5.50 a month.

will likely go for the 3 deal with quidco but this is a great deal none the less

I don't understand why talk mobile offer such a low amount of minutes.

Unlimited data on Giff Gaff is only till 31 May. It depends how much one uses text messaging. For me, I don't use more than 50-60 per month.

Talkmobile is better when compared to Vectone. Lyca etc. Not sure about the Quidco stuff on O2. I had been with O2 for an year on a £20 contract. Didn't get anything back. Also the network was poor when compared to Vodafone which is being used by Talkmobile. If you had got such a Quidco back then it was really better deal.

Giffgaff deal is much better!

IF YOU DON’T TAKE RISKS -
You don’t drink champagne...

Always received cashback, this year took T-Mobile for £10.21 , Topcashback gave £80.80 - not a bad deal. Not for everyone, must admit. As for the risks-virtual operators goes bust and if they stay, changes tariffs every quarter or so...

I just got 500 mix and match units, 5000 3 - 3 minutes and 2GB data for £8 with Three. 12 month sim only contract.

The giffgaff link below does not distinguish between £5 and £10 goodybags. Are you sure?

Yes, I understand it's a little confusing the way they've put it there. It does take a browse around the website and to actually use giffgaff to fully understand what's what.

Basically, if you buy a goodybag (£10+) then you have paid to use mins/text/unmltd internet. So in this situation the free internet does not apply as you have paid for it and it is totally unlimited!

However, if you buy the £5 goodybag, just topup to use your credit without opting for any of the goodybags or even don't topup at all, then the internet in this case is free up until the end of May... with the internet ristrictions applying to this only.

Hot but I have a query if somebody can help.
Bought a new phone on a contract with talkmobile through e2save yesterday. Says on carphone warehouse (who own e2save) site that you can't keep your same number with talkmobile if you order online, only if you order in store or over phone -
talkmobile.co.uk/hel…tml
So has anybody had problems keeping their number with talkmobile?

How?

if only this was 5 quid a month... it would have been great :)) 8 is indeed very close to 10 and in that case there are many alternatives for 10 quid from three, tesco, t-mobile and so on. But it is still a very good deal.

Probably worth calling up your network if you want a contract deal.

Once I exhaust my PAYG credit, I'm going to call up Three and ask for 100 mins, 100 texts and 500MB+ data for £5 a month for 12 months.

Can't speak for other networks, but Three seem to be very negotiable on contracts.

I recently changed work phone contracts from orange to voadafone and it is trerrible. Calls drop out and if you are rural at all you are lucky to get a signal. I work all over as i am a service engineer and am not impressed with vodafone at all

Have you seen that talk mobile have this contract, but on a 1 month basis?

Never go with talkmobile they r rubbish, had a very bad experience with them.ordered a 12 month contract and they sent me 24 months and bad customer service.so advice u not to go with them even though they r bit cheap.

Yh lol I am on that contract now. But sometimes I find 100 min or 100mb not enough. That has been available for long time now.

I called up Orange to get my PAC code to swap over to this, they offered me a 30 day rolling contract, exactly the same but unlimited texts for £5pm!
