They are good as long as you don't have any service issue. The customer service is very poor.

TalkTalk are absolutely apalling. They'll cut speeds at peak times to an extent it'll be unusable, and 'customer service' exists in name only.

Pay a few extra quid. In this instace, it's definitely worth it.

avoid talktalk I've been a victim, DIRE.
You can read all the Talk Talk media you want it's up to you but has a past user I would personally avoid them at all costs I had Fibre Optic installed and the speed was great for a week then afterwards it was dreadful and there overseas call centre kept blaming Open reach etc etc I was glad to get the same service with BT ok a little more cash but less hassle

Been there done that, Wouldn't touch them for free.
Am due for a renewal too. Anyone know any good offers????
I've been with them since the start, I've seen this deal & wanted the unlimited broadband - rang them up, expecting the "just for new customers routine" - put me thru to loyalty, explained that I would like this deal & she said ............."Yes, Sir, got all of the deal & a new router too.......Now that is good customer service.

I know that the CS can be hard work & I wish it was UK based, but I think they are much better than they were & I certainly get much better service than I ever got from BT
Avoid, avoid, avoid, I am with them, speeds slow, broadband cuts off at peak times, customer service ????? what customer service.
Was with BT before, just as bad.
Been with TalkTalk for a few years now. It's worth ditching their modems and getting decent one. I did and had 50% better speed since. Got retention deal off them so now on Plus package on rolling contract for £19.50 per month inclusive of line rental. Am bit of a nerd so not needed customer service or support for ages. No evidence of speed throttling, and tested frequently on speedtest.net. Kids stream TV all the time without untoward glitches. If you can manage without CS frequently I would recommend, and even if you can't their online forums can often get things sorted.
Had nothing but probs with them left as soon as i could
Been with them for three years and had no real problems. Never been cut off and speed seems fine. Have replaced the router with my own as wifi coverage with theirs was poor. Took up their offer of £2 discount for renewing and £9.50 line rental if paid in advance and then noticed this offer. Customer support wasn't helpful and were'nt for giving me the deal, told them I wanted to leave and they put me through to Cancellations who gave me the deal straight away. £9.50 line rental plus £3.25 per month for 12 months was as good a deal as I could find.
Anyone could confirm whether the cash back is paid ?? or at least "track"
I would avoid this company, they increased my dad's broadband price without any notice, Thn impossible to talk to anyone who can sort it out. The worst company ever for broadband

I moved from TT to Plusnet. Very pleased with the service,
Unounately, once you move to TT, there are only couple of ISP;s you can move out tol
Quidvo also pays for Plusnet - check them out.

Worst company to have broadband with. I would avoid it even for free. Nothing works, poor customer service (calls goes to India). my broadband use to disconnect several times in a day and then takes a while to connect. Pay extra but avoid it.
Don't touch with a barge pole unless you want to spend hours on end being passed around a subcontinent call centre
Just left them as appalling customer service gone to Sky and my speed has doubled.
i'm with them and they have been fine. had a problem with the phone not receiving incoming calls and it was sorted in a few days, but i never use the phone so wasn't fussed.
who are the best then looking to change from BT , soon , any ideas please

thanks

Personally, I would say Plusnet. They have been good to me. MY connection has *not* dropped since I joined them. When I was TalkTalk I kept getting disconnected for no reason and it did not help as I work quite a lot from home.

Also, once you join TalkTalk, you can only move to couple of ISP if ever want to leave TT. I think it is BT or Plusnet (I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong). Personally, BT is too expensive and I hate their ad

HTH.
