The £20 per month covers that.

Basic calls on that pay another 5 pound and you can call mobiles as well anytime
Good luck if anything goes wrong and you need help. Their customer service is even worse than BT in my experience. Wouldn't return to them if you paid me.

Customer Service varies from person to person not just companies. I recall various people getting conflicting information from O2 refresh, or Nationwide getting all mixed up a few ywars ago regarding ISAs.
Been with Talktalk for just over 10 years and there have been minor issues but they have sorted things out always be it billing or loss of connectivity or upgrades or house move. At times you just have to be persistent.
Value for money.

Completely agree with you. I called Sky about my existing contract yesterday and the chap had a hard time understanding my postcode yet only 5 minutes before I was talking to a TalkTalk rep and they had no problems with my queries.

For me the free SIM seems perfect for those on a budget who don't require 4G and all you can eat data to view Youtube videos on the go. Dare I say it would be idea for a child or pensioner?

I voted the recent MSE Sky £124 deal hot last week but that too was only upto 17mb, yet it was hot hot hot here. Was it the Martin Lewis name that made it a better deal?

Same here, appalling company to deal with in my experience. If it was free I'd look elsewhere!

Wait they have a customer service? oh those people who say "no your connection is fine, we can send out an engineer for £100 though" you know what fixed the problem, switching company, had a stable connection for years since.

This exactly, I wouldn't use their service if they were to pay me upwards of £100 a month, I need a stable internet connection in my life, They have proved to me they cannot provide it and will regularly blame anyone but themselves for it, I will never know if their technicians could have fixed their problems and my landlord was always too scared by their threats of hundreds of pounds technician fees if any faults found weren't their fault.
I can confirm that changing provider fixed that problem 100% the internet has been stable for years now.
While I was with them I had to constantly call them about the internet not being there, the phone lines still worked but the net connection barely existed for the 3 years I was stuck with them. Their customer service will often contradict things said by other representatives, and themselves, their story would often change sentence to sentence, they were just trying to say anything to end the call at that point because they knew they couldn't fix it and they weren't allowed to admit that or that the company was at fault.
At this point I feel it worth reiterating that switching fixed every issue with the internet, using the exact same lines and hardware, there was no upgrade to fiber or cable or any other method to get internet. The entire problem was the company.
trying to help out 2 elderly people on Talktalk at the moment,
both changed to the new package and sent new routers with no instructions.
One now has an unusable broadband speed of 0.45 Mbs the other no phone or broadband , calls are going to a neighbour !

This has been for 2 weeks , numerous phone calls , live chat , don't bother with promised call backs
Atrocious customer service
Never experienced customer service, but when i was using TT as an isp i got 6mbps speed & they increased prices only 2 months into a 12 month contract, wheras now i'm with Sky & whilst not getting earth shattering speeds, i get 8mbps & although they increased their prices, mine hasn't increased

Lots of people can't get anywhere near 10mbps without going to fibre.I'm lucky if I get 1.5mbps but manage ok.

I've been with Sky and they always increase prices mid-contract. Connection is solid though. When I was last with TalkTalk I had one day of outage in 365 days, hardly the end of the world.
Been with them several years. Rock solid connection. Agree customsr service can be hit and miss. Its a good price especially with cash back.
Extremely slow ADSL from them (never close to 17MB!!!) should be never sold as Fast Broadband!

And it's worth to pay more to avoid their crap customer service. I know it from my years experience with them unfortunately, but this will change in few months time.
I live quite close to my exchange and am with TT. I had consistent 17mb speeds and moved to medium fibre and now have consistent 35mb speeds. I pay £27 per month including anytime calls.
If you like dealing with Indian call centres and staff who can't deviate from their script, then this is the deal for you. Not for me, having been a customer of theirs I can honestly say this is the very worst ISP I've ever had in about 25 years.
Hum old deal of free basic broadband with value line rental £174 yr was better

Their CS is really chit , especially when you are trying to get a refund of money after moving BB elsewhere. they never paid up.
Just got a cancellation chrge refunded from BT however, with a little arm-twisting...

all you can eat data to view Youtube videos on the go

500mb is hardly AUCE??

I wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire. Worst Company i have ever dealt with. System geared to fob you off if you have an issue. Never pay out. I refused the insulting compensation they offered me for 5 missed appointments and 3 months without a connection. £30.
I got offered line rental and broadband for £7.50 because of the problems I had .. top speed on fibre was 13mb ..I told them to stuff it could not wait to leave.. router I had to replace and consent drop outs on line ... now have virgin 100mb yes I do pay £30 but it's worth it not to have all the hassle
Been with them for about 3 years, no issues and on the few times I've talked to CS they've been fine. The speed you get depends on your location and you get the same speed whoever supplies you. you also get a free SIM with decent enough allowance for your mobile if that offers still going. When I first switched I found WiFi reception was much better all over the house. Read any ISP and you get many saying CS is crap and I wonder whether it's more the attitude of the customer rather than CS.
