Is that 38 or 78 meg

it's 38 meg which I find OK.
If I weren't already on this package, I would be tempted to try the PlusNet offering!

I know TT is not popular with some folks on here but it works well for all my mob at home as they give it some hammering. Tempted to ask them to extend my contract...

TalkTalk's fine - it's a lot better than BT for customer service, and a whole heap cheaper too.

And I just love the amusing little calls from those nice TalkTalk people kindly offering to fix my dangerously infected PC. Sometimes I talk to them in pseudo-Swedish about the difficulties using a Swedish keyboard to carry out their helpful instructions, sometimes I offer to fix the problems I can see with their own PCs, and sometimes I let them help me with my latest PC, the ultra high tech Amstrad PC1512. Such nice people - so nice to have such good friends.

Plusnet are cheaper @ £22.99 per month, same download speed and no setup costs, same contract duration.

Except that Plusnet are a member of ombudsman (Ofcom approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme for handling customer complaints) and ISPA (The UK Internet Service Providers Association offers extra consumer protection)
So any problems you might face, you have somewhere to turn, with TT you have no chance if they won't resolve your dispute.

3 years of cutting signal which they insisted was a problem with the house, it hasnt occurred in over 10 years with BT though, they will just do anything to pass the blame one and insisted it would cost to send a technician to the house to check the line. I wasted hours with their customer service about the missing internet connection, it was impossible to download anything stably. their only suggestions for fixing were to spend more money, the only fix turned out to be finding a company that doesn't have the reputation of a pile of manure.

if you need a stable connection at any time of day outside the hours of 5-6am then you need to go with a company not affiliated with talk talk, the cost of time wasted with customer service will never be worth any money you save.

It’s the unlimited calls inc which makes this a good deal

I was going to join Plusnet today but then saw there is a cost of £125

It does fill me with dread if I have to ring them and a few weeks ago I did have a drop out issue BUT for just over £50 a month I have fast fibre broadband, unlimited downloads, calls including to mobiles, sky sports and cinema and the free security for PC. Not seen a better price.

Not being offered free calls with link? Tried a few times; is this expired ?

Says In store only mate so I assume you have to go into a branch of curry’s

I also get them calls about my pc being dangerously infected, I kindly let them explain it all before telling/asking them that if they knew I that I'm not with talktalk anymore , which is when they hang up after a long silence

Plusnet 38mb download, only 2mb upload, rubbish.

No deal is better than a bad deal

I Took the time and went to Curry's today; Was going for it till I realised I was taking out an 18 month Contract and then I
got cold feet, with all my troubles with Sky & BT this last three years when I was wronged and could not leave until the 12 months contract was up; I feel myself no matter who I go with they will stiff me somehow, but at least it will be for the 12 months only.
This is a very good deal, all I am looking for but not for 18 months.

I'm with SSE broadband. 76mb download speed, around 20mb upload all for around £20 including line rental with unlimited downloads etc. The only problem with it is that SSE does throttle my connection during peak hours but this is easy avoidable using a VPN. So overall not bad.
