Talk talk massive liars, sign up and they'll rip you off guaranteed and the customer service is atrocious.
There is also the option to pay a years line rental up front for another £20 saving.
Very good deal but only for new customers. I still vote hot
whatever they promise you, you wont get it, doesnt matter what price they promise, the cost of this deal will always depend on how you value your time. Because you will spend the vast majority of their service calling their customer support trying to use the service you are paying for

Talk talk are useless.

Cold!
I signed up on Black Friday for fibre, they then text me 2 days before the move from BT to tell me my order had been cancelled. After calling them they told me they couldn't offer Fibre (even though I currently have it) but they'd be quite happy to offer me <2mb broadband. I politely told them to sod off and luckily I had 1 hour left to keep my service with BT otherwise I would have been right up $#!+ creek! AVOID THESE COWBOYS AT ALL COSTS!
wouldn't trust them with my details even if they were offering me it free for 3 years not worth the headache dealing with banks n fraud teams, constant fake phone calls not to mention the incredibly bad customer service, lies , double talk, and cons, promise over promise with nothing done in the end, talk talk is over dead in the water they blew it cheaping out on the security of there customers personal info there's no getting over that, if this company survives 2016 i'll be surprised, the people I feel for is the employees told to lie n make promises putting on a smile and asking people to join even though they know it's wrong and they wouldn't do it but hey it's there job most of us don't like our job or the way the people run it but if we want to pay the rent we need money, we need a job, so we do what we have to, but these employees are really very unhappy about what they're being asked to do.

very sad.

oh what little customer service they have is all foreign speaking and they don't understand you and you don't understand them, 30mins to an hour every time trying to fix an issue that never gets fixed on the first call, sorry life is to short, which is why most of amazon CS has been brought back to the English speaking, sky is all English speaking as is BT but as always they're way to expensive, sky have there issues but they're the market leaders in the u.k. now, price, package, & CS, I don't work for sky never have and we don't always get on but when asked what company to go with for internet, I always say your best bet is sky.
Now that wasn't always the case however it used to be o2, they were the best and sky still isn't providing quite the service that o2 did before they sold out there internet facility, under the statement we want to work on our phone packages, lol ye look how that worked out very few people use o2 now and they only have two PAYG tarrifs and they both suck, 3 is the new o2 for PAYG mobile, sky is the new o2 for internet (sort off) as long as they keep improving and not get greedy they will take it to BT every day of the week, lol which is why BT now target sky in there ads stating "BT now provides better speed than sky", says it all really. X)

Plus net are crap, had a nightmare with them last year, no broadband for 2 months because of there incompetence .
But most internet providers are ok, until things go wrong.
On a side note, I have BT infinity 40 gb. since I upgrades to Windows 10 I have used 67 gb last month, and I am at my 40 gb limit now. I used about 20 gb before. Does windows 10 use more data , or is BT at it.
Company has inadequate security for customer data - voted cold

May be because of the windows 10 updates ?

how can you do this? surely you're tied in to an 18 month contract??
I rang them a few days ago... Would not recommend, customer service is awful... Spoke to 5 different ppl from South Africa n India neither of them could understand anything... Awful... Don't bother, trust me... Glad my contract ends next month... Bt or sky here I come

EE are crap, Plusnet are crap.
Wouldn't take it even if they gave me money to use it. Sky are the best for average users and zen for heavy users, more expensive but you get what you pay for.
Wouldn't give this shower my business ever again. Terrible customer service, sloppy security and charging for data never used. Wouldn't trade with them for free!
Currently with ee and am thinking of moving as my contracts at an end and it seems to have gotten expensive all of a sudden (_;)
A friend has recommended talktalk, he's been with em ages and has had no problems?
I liked the look of this based on price for content, if you see what I mean, but reading the comments, I'm not so sure?
If not this lot, then who do hukders rate as a fibre/broadband/calls provider?
Thanks in advance

BT are good and get any problems fixed fast but there cost is high, too high imho, but then BT have always been the same, there really is only one real option for most and that is sky.

Virgin have better speeds and there's is true fibre aka point to point unlike the others which are fibre to the cabnet then copper to your door, virgin have had a few issues with customer service and there prices are high.
Again my advice would be sky just make sure you know what you want don't let them con you into crazy packages, there prices are pretty good as is there speed there customer service is ok they speak English and understand most (not all ) issues if they can't fix the problem fast they throw money at the situation which is not ideal I would rather they fix the issues fast, but to many chiefs lol and to many departments passing down info, and not being able to predict what the engineer will or can do, so the compensation of a few quid helps while the issues are resolved, other times it's a simple fix, but the thing is sky is in a strong position now they know they need to keep there staff trained and be ready for any issue, they know they need to compensate customers if they fail them and they know they need to keep upto date with tech and info regarding the systems, so based on this you could already say they're better than most company's out there, and more customers require better more refined service and will keep them pushing to stay on top here in the U.k.

BT could MAYBE give you slightly faster speeds again MAYBE and if so very minimal but they are greedy they won't compensate you for issues, they over charge for all there services, they just seem to compete with the other competition lol or try to they never actually lead the way in price or package there always forced to improve by the likes of sky, BT are lazy, greedy and only give deals when it suits there purpose, and then deals that are just so-so only to try and keep there customers with them, what I will say though is there usually isn't any issues with the service, once its up n running your good to go, any issues that pop up and they are on it fast.

Any service you get once running will serve you a long time un hindered it's like the council you pay your rent n your council tax n they leave you alone you never here from them there's never any issues, this is the service I like up n running just the way I like, solid line, good speeds, no cap, service for years, no calls, no letters, no break in the service, just provide and pay.

SKY although if BT drop prices for the same package I'd go that route.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, will have a look
Cracking deal, I keep a savings account linked to my household bills account. Once every couple of months I transfer enough to cover bills, if I ever do get hacked the damage will be minimal. Been with TT for 8 years, they have their issues but they are by far the cheapest option. I dont mind dealing with crap customer service once or twice a year to save 200 quid.
all these comments on service reliability and customer service but no one manages to point out that the OP's maths is wrong and hence the whole cost of the deal is incorrect?!

18 month contract, line rental at 17.70 x 18 = 318.60
Last 6 months fibre @ £10 a month = 60

Total cost of 18 month contract is 318.60+60+6.75 (router deliver) = 385.35
Equivalent to £21.41 a month
Talk talk provide a WiFi router - huawei hg633 that is completely unsuitable for connecting to via wifi. There are many examples on the TalkTalk community forum of people who cannot use the router and have to buy another one at anything from £30 to £300. TalkTalk are washing their hands of their customers. Cannot recommend
whats wrong with the hg633? works beautifully here
im on this exact package with adsl. they too offered me the fibre free for 12 months but was not sure....
