Might help somebody, we don't get fibre here.

'1. I would like to advise you that we are using the same line with BT.
2. I can help offer you Fast broadband package for £19.95 per month for 18 months including:

1.Totally unlimited broadband usage –no caps or charges.
2.Line Rental is included
3.Free calls between TalkTalk homes, up to 180 minutes per call, hang up and redial.
4.Our most powerful TalkTalk Super Router
5.TalkTalk’s privacy and online security features

[A couple of minutes later]
The best I can do is to offer the package for £18.95 instead of £19.95.'

I still switched to the 18 month BT deal with free BT Sports 18 months.

I was happy to leave, no problem with TT broadband reliability just crap pricing, too expensive even with free UK landline calls & we had the free international calls deal still going from a few years ago

I gave them a great chance to offer me a cheap deal, I think Chat was 20 mins - they offered diddly squit, despite me saying what BT was offering

but I thought it was worth mentioning as there could be others here on a crap TT deal such as mine £45/ month all-in (though it only jumped to that this month)
I pay £18.75 thats including line rental, broadband, all phone calls to landlines and mobiles plus a free sim card with calls and data free. Can't fault my service.
Heat for the image!

Repost my response from another TT thread.

I remember when they used to refuse to deal with any internet complaint because it was a 'free' part of your phoneline deal, and under legislation if an item was given to you for free there was no expectation nor requirement of upkeep or maintenance of it; this was of course after they swindled you into a 18 month contract for both line and internet rental.

Nice little con they had going for a while, lovely people!
it's never worth buying anything from a company as abysmal as this one, even if they offered their services entirely free it still wouldn't be worth the hassle of trying to connect online for the one hour window you might get in a day when their connection is anywhere near stable and not constantly disconnecting.
The only way you could use their service is if they offered to throw in a competitors service for free in addition to their own, that way you might actually have a chance of using the internet.

My experience was they lied at every opportunity about the problems caused and refused to do anything about it without excessive engineer charges, the moment providers were switched every issue vanished, both providers using the same lines into the house of course.
Upgraded mine a few months ago, threatened to leave as the Broadband speed was abysmal - got Fibre b/b and phone line for £19,(which was £10 cheaper than I was paying) + free phone calls to mobiles and landlines - getting b/b speeds of 38 mps and upload speed of 14mps - very pleased with it - although their feedback is mainly poor.
It’s £17.95 via U switch - you also get a recordable You View Box.

I'm currently in the same boat. My landline will stop working for a few hours (no dial tone) and then it'll be back up again. I've called them twice and they've sent out an engineer who couldn't even find the problem.

Weird thing is that sometimes if I try calling the landline it'll go through and will work again lol.

if it's the same line you used with your previous provider my suggestion is contacting ofcom/ombudsman/trading standards, talk talk will do nothing but lie to customers

I have been with talktalk 76mb fast fibre broadband since last month.
I have ignored all the negative comments because of the deal was very competitive. Now I am really regret my stupid decision as I have been getting only 7mb speed.
I never able to use any devices especially in the peak time.
When every time I have complained them, they just updated speed up to 30mb, from next day speed drops again.
After lots of complaints not resolved the problem completely.
Previously I was with BT and getting around 45mb speed and no issues.
