I will N E V E R use TalkTalk again in my life. Their customer service is diabolical.

Sorry, but I wouldn't touch Talk Talk no matter what the deal is

... just me who signed up for TalkTalk faster fibre with sky sports in the summer for 18 months for £40/month in total and not had any problems? Really happy tbh... But that might be because nothing has gone wrong so far.

Do yourself a favour and stay FAR FAR away from TalkTalk. Their customer service is as trash as their security.

I have never experience a reliable product form talk talk over the 3 years I was stuck with them, I could only use their services if they also promised to throw in services with a competitor when their products fail each day of the contract as I experienced in the past, otherwise I have no faith in them to deliver any product they offer.

should the title be £6 per month for 18 months, or is it £6 for the whole 18 months?

ignore previous comment, just seen picture on mobile, it's per month

I've just got out of my talktalk contract early with no penalty , the product they supply is absolutely horrendous. By the way they do have a 7 day cancellation policy available if you fancy leaving early

Hi - how early did you manage to leave? I am pulling my hair out daily with their internet connection, absolutely shocking

Wouldn’t recommend talk talk at all, terrible service and even worse internet.

I am another who has had nothing but trouble with TT. My contract with them goes next year and I will not be coming back.

Channels are pretty naff - but if it tickles your fancy go for it

You know the scariest thing about talk talk, I mentioned earlier having been stuck with them for 3 years, I escaped in 2009.
Everything that every other person has commented applied to me and looks to be just as bad a near decade later, it looks like they will never learn or improve and are just irredeemable as a company. Expect the name to change sometime in the future but don't believe in anyway that they will.

... just me who signed up for TalkTalk faster fibre with sky sports in the summer for 18 months for £40/month in total and not had any problems? Really happy tbh... But that might be because nothing has gone wrong so far.

BT - customer service not great
Sky and Virgin -very expensive
Talktalk - bad customer service YES but managed to get things sorted -eventually
Lets pin the tail on the donkey
EVERYONE has bad experiences -
1 bad experience is told to 30 people
1 good experience is told to 10 people (if lucky)

Couldn't agree more. One of the most expensive providers who don't care about personal data or customer service .

I never got anything sorted at talk talk they just shifted blame constantly and threatened call out charges of absurd amounts to come and prove they were at fault which they likely would have sent someone round and said oh it works now so you're lying before it disconnects again all night.

Switching to BT worked though.

Same here, no problems, even got connected a week early.

Horses for courses and all that.

No issues with Sky or BT in past either. Only ever had issues with Virgin.

I work for TT and have Fibre which is pretty darn stable product irrespective of your provider. Not that it is without problems though, as were recently disconnected by a BT Openreach engineer cutting us off at the PCP whilst we were on holiday.

Have had no problems with TalkTalk broadband or their TV services so far and very happy with getting their 18 month Sky Sports TV boost package for £8.50 per month offer last summer allowing me to cancel my more expensive Sky subscription (Sky sports was all I wanted from Sky anyway). This deal is not for me as reading through the list of channels you get, Sky Sports News is the only channel I would ever watch and you get that at various times with the Sky Sports boost package anyway but at half price it is still a decent deal for some so voted hot.

However, like others have commented, TalkTalk's customer support (based in India) is not great in my experience. I ended up with two mobile phone contracts for the same mobile number for several months last year because they failed to cancel the contract I had requested cancelled. I've also had to wait up to 25 minutes to speak to an agent on the phone, way too long to be a reasonable queue wait time for any decent customer support service. Using online chat gets a much quicker response and is the best option when you have a query but of course, they won't allow you to use chat to cancel a contract.

Exactly this. It is all on the same copper for DSL and the same fibre followed by the same copper as using BT and all the others except Virgin. As for call out charges TalkTalk aren't ripping you off, it is the charge Openreach will pass to them if an issue is found in your EU wiring or if no issue is found. Should repeat reports take place and the issue is found all money would be given back. It is them warning you a bill may be passed on from Openreach not TT raking in money.

As someone who spent a few years arguing these charges with Openreach directly they make them up as they go along. You might also want to look in to Openreach definitions of broadband fault repair vs line enhancement and SIN349 while you're at it.

The TalkTalk bad mouthing has gone on since they struggled to cope with free broadband demand when they first got going. It is getting very boring.

Been OK for me on talk talk. Just on ADSL.

I joined tt after 10 years with Virgin, tt were terrible internet kept dropping at various times in the day, many times does not work for hours, a few times no internet for days and because no internet therefore no TV, customer services clueless, same responses every time, no technical dept worthy of the name, they sent 3 routers, all the same, I spent an eternity with their customers services, all to no avail, one day I got mad and spoke to disconnections( or something like that) and I got out 6 months early, and went back to virgin, yes they are more expensive but they are reliable, and I can actually enjoy their services.

Quit frankly if tt are free I would not join, truly inept company

I’ve just had this added to my account with the sports at 6 quid a month and 8.50 a month for sports for 18 months , my internet connection better than it was with sky

Talk Talk are the worst company I have ever had dealing so with. Shocking customer service, had to close my bank account due to their computers being hacked. Tried to get support but got hassle instead. Had some moron in an Indian call centre telling me they had put me on a more expensive package to save me money, when I told them no you don't, they cut me off repeatedly. Bunch of clowns

Take all of the bad reviews with a pinch of salt... Most people don't bother to leave good reviews, but they're quick to write a bad one. I've been with talktalk for a little while now, slightly slower fibre than before, but as a result, they have lowered my monthly payments by £5, which is perfectly acceptable. Customer service is not perfect but they get things done in the end, with not too much of a struggle. Plus, with fibre internet, you get a free SIM card!

My experience was dire. Never to be repeated. I’ll take yours with a truck load of de icing salt ;-)

Seems like a good deal but I'd only watch comedy central and I'm not sure I can pay £6 for 1 channel

I found talktalk's fibre to be quite reliable and problem-free when I was with them, the trouble started when I wanted to leave. Safe to say I'll never be returning after dealing with what they consider to be "customer service".

I agree with that. I have been with talk talk in 3 different counties, and when I had problems, it was sorted out. Not saying that people don't have bad experiences, but I'm a satisfied customer.

Basically I told them that they had void the contract as they were not providing the service, I explained that if I didn't pay the bill then they would cut me off, so I'm cutting them off.

No I had 4 months left, but they voided the contract because they did not provide a service ( internet kept dropping out) I called 3 times and on the 3rd I told them I was leaving right now!

Been with them for years without issue

me too, so have my parents, friends and family all without issues. I had absolutely loads of problems with BT prior to that with overcharging and inability to contact anyone in customer services to help.

I had multiple issues with BT and I was paying over the odds compared to other providers. I switched to TalkTalk around 8 months ago and not had a single problem.

I had the same problem , had to reboot router daily or reconnect devices, did some research and the general consensus was their carp router so bought a ASUS router and all problems solved, 20+ devices all linked thru it and not a glitch since ..
