TalkTalk's new Sky Sports Season Ticket add- £11/month - Cheapest Way to Get Sky Sports and Watch the 2015/16 Premier League

Purely based on the maths, it looks like TalkTalk is currently the most affordable option for Sky Sports, which will be showing nearly 110 Premier League matches over the course of the season. (Note that it won't be offering Champions League football as in previous years though).

TalkTalk's new Sky Sports Season Ticket add-on is good for the nine-month Premier League season and costs just £11 a month, or 92p a match. That compares favourably to the cost of getting Sky Sports through Sky itself (which costs £25.50 a month), as well as other providers like Virgin Media (£29.95), BT (£22) and Now TV (£31.99).

For your £11 a month, you'll get basic access to Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, in addition to the dedicated F1 channel. Along with the football, it'll also mean you're able to watch select American football games, the final two Ashes test matches, Rugby Union and the US Open golf.

Coupling the Sky Sports boost with an entry-level TalkTalk TV package, that's a total cost of ownership of £189 over nine months - a savings of £191.16 compared to Virgin Media, £216 compared to BT and £220.50 compared to Sky.

Hope that's useful for someone.

The only drawback being that you have to join TalkTalk...

Gonna snap this up when live

is it only SD like BT TV or does it also have the HD transmissions as well does anyone know?

I know a cheaper way

But then you'll have to pay full whack for bt sports on another box.

Yes...but that is not what this post is about. It is showing the cheapest way to watch the SKY games. If you wish to do a comparison that also includes BT then please go ahead.

SkySports through TalkTalk is great. Base price is £30/month but is always half price or better for comitting to 3/6months at a time. I'm currently paying £6/month for 6 months - when thats up at the end of the term there is always another offer. Not HD but good for the price.

would this be in hd?

Or just get a kodi box and pay nothing

avoid talk talk

Are the Sky channels on TalkTalk only received through internet streaming via the YouView box then ....?

Premier league is a rip off!

I use Sky Sports Phone app, x2 on my IPad, and my dad can watch it on his through my account. Pretty decent I reckon, only £5/ month altogether.

I also load up on iTunes when there's a deal on so can work out as low as £2 each or so for me and my dad to get all the Sky Sports channels.

Android kodi stick and you pay a 1 off fee and that's it.

If you're paying for it on kodi you're being properly ripped off. There are plenty of HD streams available that are free but I couldn't possibly condone such actions ;).

If you're looking for the cheapest legit sky sports package this will be hard to beat

Long time customers of sky should have a look at upgrading to sports online. Did mine last week. £10.40 a month. Not bad, but not hd.

Sadly so many of the prem matches are so boring as either teams are scared to conceded and defend like their lives depend on it/or both teams tactics cancel each other out so highlights for free is better.

TalkTalk have horrendous customer service! Impossible to get anything done via their call centres and emails were not repliable so new enquiry email each time. May be cheap but I will never make that mistake again!

I have been with BT, Sky and Talk Talk amongst others and am the first to change my contract when it is up for renewal. I have taken advantage of several price hikes and left suppliers within 30 day notice periods just to get another new customer offer but in defense of Talk Talk, I know it gets a bad reputation but I have had no problems and ended up renewing my contract via their online chat service where they offered me a pretty impressive deal with 12 of 18 months free, a new router amongst other things. I have just had 3 months free Sky Sports and after ending that deal, I can take advantage of another 3 months half price or to be honest - wait for this £11 a month deal. Heat added.

Kodi on a fire stick, all the footy and movies £60

Be aware you need Fibre optic or ADSL speeds if a minimum of 5mb to run these channels. I have talktalk tv and it's great value!

Who do you pay £8? Is it per month, one off or yearly?

Not bad, I'm currently paying roughly £15 for the full sky sports package with virgin on the Tiv box, was offered 50% discount for 12 months. Although it isn't HD, looking for a deal with combines both Sky sports and BT Sport which is what i'm keen on. Hoping for some type of BT sport and sky sports season ticket which they ran last year, but it doesn't seem likely this year. Hopefully i'm wrong.

Decent deal this is, especially if you are already on TalkTalk

Probably monthly.
I wouldn't pay annually upfront as the provider could pull the plug if the law catches up with them.

I have the sky sports package or at least I had until 3 days ago and got a ipc6023 connection error which I have just spent over an hour on the phone with Indian technical support who could not resolve it. I can access the Internet on the TV and youview box but they still made me waste an hour plugging unplugging switching on and off and hard wiring into the router. I work in the I. T . Sector and had the knowledge and cables to do this... Not sure how my wife would have coped! My son missed today's ashes match so not a happy boy!

all the info is fairly easy to find using google. Buy an amazon fire tv stick or the more expensive fire tv box.

Info on kodi - Kodi website

more info on isntalling/configuring a kodi install with required plugins here TVAddons

Its fairly easy to find all the info you need... btw Pheonix plugin works better than Sportsdevil. Not sure sportsdevil is actively updated anymore.

I'm in and of course Hayley McQueen and Natalie Sawyer on Sky Sports News
