Turn on your Tamagotchi then watch as it hatches from its egg. Tamagotchi acts just like a real creature and will beep to get your attention.

Feed it, clean up after it and show it love when your Tamagotchi is unhappy. The more you love and care for it, the healthier and happier it will be. Back after 20 years, this loveable electronic pet is ready to capture your heart all over again.

A great gift for ages eight and up.

I remember daughter taking this thing on holiday and almost ruined the trip with her constant whining about feeding the thing, nearly threw it overboard!
I'm glad I bought my kids one from gearbest a few weeks ago, not a chance I'd pay a tenner when they make their comeback
i'm sure that this price is a bad christmas joke.
Terrible price, I'd expect these to be £3-4 at most.

I'm 38 and I want one
I bought one for 8p on gearbest when it was posted the other week.

It says tamagotchi on the box, but not expecting much for 8p.

Bought it for my 5 year old

It's probably made by the same people as these.

My two arrived recently, not turned them on but look worth the 8p each.

....Unless they don't work when I turn them on, in which case screw you China.

"Just" £10 for a Tamagotchi? Really? That's mental!

Most likely paying for the brand name
£10 for a cyber per. Naaa
On the other hand, do I really need one while I have a live version AKA toddler ?
I hated it
I remember queuing outside Toys R Us with my dad at about 6:30am waiting for the store to open so we could buy one. It was one per person and everyone was going crazy to get one (Imagine the black Friday scenes!)

It was THE best day ever, I loved it! I'm sure the novelty wore off at some point but seeing the design of these being identical makes me instantly feel that excited feeling! Oh for it to be the 90's again!

I think £10 is pretty good as these are the actual original brand, with the same design and colouring. Which makes these so nostalgic! Ahh I can hear the beeps from the game of left or right now (Simple times!)
It’ll soon be available on iOS or Android...for probably half the price

True... but my 4 year old doesn't have an Iphone....
How is this a good deal? I got one for 8p from a deal on here the other week just to see if it would show up. It did, it works, it's sat on a shelf doing nothing. 8p!!!

Because this is official Tamagotchi... the original brand. There will be differences... including the sounds and gameplay. It's like buying a pack of jaffa cakes for £2 from M&S or 20p from Asda Smartprice... yes they are both jaffa cakes but you pay for the brand... better quality and probably a better taste.

p.s everyone knows 8p items from China are fire hazards

LoL, it would take education and some real thought to get fire out of a 1.5v button cell.

As for quality... it works, has more modes than I could be bothered to look through and the price difference is an order of magnitude larger than the example you gave. Plus if these do take off as a craze again (which I find unlikely) no-one cared about the difference between official and unofficial back in the day and I doubt they'll care today.

No it's not we are the same age I want one but not getting one till they are in the shop so I can look at the colours
Maybe my mum wont kill it this time as I don't have to go school now
I doubt these will be a craze again, most schools now have a ban on electronic games plus kids are used to much more sophisticated toys these days.
Wtf how is £10 for this cheap?

I give school 1 month before these get banned. Same as fidget spinners and pokemon cards
