I picked some of this up on a work trip away not wanting to pay hotel prices for a nightcap. I'm only learning about whisky so took a punt on it as it was £22 and I'd not seen it before. What a magnificent surprise!

A little research tells me that the distilery has been around for years but has mosty been providing spirit for Whyte & McKay. This is the first Tamnavulin offering for something like 25 years.

It isn't up there with Aberlour 12 year old nor a 12 or 15 year old Glenlivet, but at this price you woudln't expect it to be. You will be disppointed if you had paid full price for this but at £22 it is very drinkable and well worth a go.

I think it definitely is up there with Aberlour and Glenlivet and it's a great buy at that price.Heat from me.
Got this last year from Morrisons for £20. Its a very nice whisky for the price.
Not really a whiskey drinker myself
but £10 cheaper than other supermarkets so heat added!
Not a bad dram for the price, but if you watch Amazon daily and lightning deals, you can obtain better whisky for similar price.

Aberlour 12yo is often available for £25 to £27. I've also had Tamdhu 10yo and Deanston Virgin Oak for for £26 each. You do need to check daily though.
