Never seen it this cheap before. Seen in Glasgow Maryhill store. Lots of bottles on the shelf.

Double cask. Matured in American oak barrels finished in sherry casks.

Double Cask matured for a classic Speyside taste; rich, smooth and mellow. The distillery at Tamnavulin was opened in 1966 on the banks of River Livet, deep in the heart of Speyside, the most celebrated whisky producing region in Scotland. Amber gold in colour, this rich and elegant Speyside single malt whisky has hints of sweet toffee, honey and, marzipan on the nose with refreshing pineapple, pear and subtle citrus notes on the palate.

Set on the banks of the corrie stream and the River Livet, we draw our water from underground springs in the Easterton Hills. Formed by Snowmelt from the surrounding mountains, this water is naturally filtered through ancient limestone rock.

Stock up in Scotland, before you have to take a mortgage out to buy a pint …Stock up in Scotland, before you have to take a mortgage out to buy a pint of heavy!

I assume this is some weird joke about the price per unit law introduced in Scotland. The price is 50p per unit so that makes a 700ml bottle of whiskey at 40% £14 as it has 28 units in. So this bottle could be exactly the same or cheaper after the law is introduced there.

No need to thank me for the education 🥃

P.S I am not Scottish not do I live in Scotland I just read more than the headlines.

Is it store specific or nationwide?
Fab price. Pretty decent single malt. Normally £20 on offer, so this is a great price.
This is no better than drain cleaner. Bad nose, harsh taste, hot finish. Must be the worst speyside I've ever drunk.

Bit obnoxious and if it was to go on sale for cheaper, this wouldn't be a deal...
Only first glass may disappoint you taste wise. By the end of the 3rd one you'll be asking yourself why haven't you got 2 bottles
Has anyone actually seen this deal in store yet? I went to my local Lidl yesterday and there wasn't a trace of it.
