In image dept canon kit lens 18-55 produces more details then Tamron 24 70. not sure if it is down to the camera sensor or may be I have a good copy of kit lens. voted hot

If you mean the Sigma 17-70, it is an f/2.8-f/4 lens, thus if shooting manual exposure, your aperture and thus your exposure will change when you zoom the lens (if you had an aperture under f/4 selected). This is not a desirable trait in my opinion. Also max aperture at the telephoto end is f/4 so not fantastic for low light though with the high iso capabilities of current gen cameras you can probably set f/4 and not worry. The Tokina will give better shallow depth of field and better in low light and constant f/2.8 throughout the zoom range.

Ordered yesterday evening, received it this afternoon from Amazon UK it seems There was no invoice in the box, just on the box was a sticker if undelivered return to Amazon UK - FIFE.
There is a sticker on the lens saying it comes with 5years warranty so a genuine EU model.
