Grey import?

Upon checking, looks like it. However other grey imports seem to be £110 more (the cheapest), looking at ebay.
Reading these reviews of egloba, people maybe prefer to get from uk for normal price than risk a load of hassle. Warranty terms make interesting reading.

Yeah, I tend to only order equipment of this high value from Amazon, not even 3rd party sellers on Amazon. The reviews are a bit hit and miss, if you go the second page there appears to be a load of positive reviews even though the first page is filled with negative ones. Just thought I would post this as it's about £90 cheaper than the other deal posted for this the other day. I totally agree with you though. Warranty is great for an item of this value. Then again, if you have insurance, would it cover it?
e-global central have been decent in my experience.

Newer G2 version was out this year, improved in almost every way. However that is around double the price of this, so heat anyway

yeah that has weather sealing too
Although I know the G2 is double the price of G1, does it come near the standards of the Nikon VR II version?
Ordered a 150-600 from them nearly 2 years ago for €800. Was 1400 in the shops. Not a problem with it and lots of nice photos.

The G2 is a replacement for the 70-200 stabalised lens. This is the none stabalised version, so ever worse than what the g2 was replacing.

The orginal stabalised version is £592 on their ebay account.

What's teh bokeh like wiv dis, innit? Because, as we all know, as professional photographers, bokeh is all that matters with photographs. Not subject matter, or lighting, or composition or dynamic range, interest or any c**p like that. As long as the BG is blurred, that's all that matters, innit?
