Like parachuting without all the training. After a short safety briefing session, you fly to a height of approx 10-12,000 feet and safely strapped to a British Parachute Association tandem instructor, you leap into a 5000 feet free-fall. Your instructor controls the whole descent, including the parachute opening and landing.

What's included:
# The course starts with a safety briefing session
# One jump from 10-12,000 feet, with a fully qualified BPA instructor using a dual-control tandem parachute
# Provisional BPA membership
# Experience gift box including smart wallet, personalised voucher and message card
# PA cover to a value of £50,000 plus cancellation indemnity

I paid £150 for mine earlier in the year at the north london centre (actually near Cambridge), very cold in my opinion.

Please can you provide some more details? I would SOOO love to do this!

This does sound expensive - I did one in NZ for about £60. Granted it was about 3 years ago and in a different country but still this is almost 5 times as expensive?!?

This is COLD..

I paid £250 at headcorn, Kent few years back for my Static line jump.. But I used it to raise money for charity too...Forgot that If i joined the charity first and if I raised over 700£ the jump would be free.. also, as it was static line (jump by yourself @ 3400ft) then any jump afterwards was £35..

All you pay for is training.. but these dont apply to Tandem as you pay someone else.

£250 is a normal price...bit too much but usually people do it via charites...so this post is not a deal.

If you were to do it in Australia or New Zealand (extreme sports country of the world) you would be doing it for lot less..but in UK its quite a stressful thing to do parachute jumps..Weather is never right...Windy..rain...etc. but saying that...Today is best day for a jump...low wind speed, sunny...PERFECT.. Wish I could go for a jump now..

As with all Virgin prices, they take a massive profit on everything...... There are skydive centers all over the country that offer tandem jumps from £150.

I just did a 2 second search on Google, clicked the very first link and I have found a site that beats this price by between MIN £55 and £125 (dep on the size of the group you take)

However I can understand some people enjoy lining Branson's pocket, and I say to them 'everyone to their own'
