i got one of these 2 years ago for my daughter who has very curly hair, which gets very knotty! and I swear by this brush, couldn't go without it! I paid at least £5 for mine, so thought his was a real bargain when I saw them in poundland! they was in COSHAM PORTSMOUTH, but don't see why they wouldn't be in other ones!

thank you, its my 1st post so wasn't really sure what I was doing lol

Was the original one not Tangle Teaser? Great price if it is as good as Tangle Teaser

I swear by Tangle Teezers. I tried this cheaper version and my daughter said it wasn't as good and it hurt. My daughter has a very sensitive scalp though. Definitely worth a punt to see if they work for you at this price. Heat added.

I personally have never tried the tanglebteezer, I went for the cheaper version on eBay which was this one. my daughter is 2 and doesn't complain, but may because she is used to it now x

sorry *tangle teezer

Definitely not as good as the tangle teezer - these are simple plastic brushes!

I have been using one for the last 2 years on my daughter, it seems to get tangles out of her hair alot easier than a normal brush or comb. and yes it is a plastic brush, is the original not made of plastic then?

Nowhere near as good as an original tangle teezer has hard doll brush like bristles and that's pretty much all they are good for, Dolls hair.

I have one of these and their great! And we have real hair not dolls hair...

ill have to have a look tomorrow with 6 girls in the house i need more of these..thanks

ur welcome

My daughter adores this plastic one. Great stuff and works!

Well I have both. Tangle teezer and actually thought I'd buy one of these for the price. I have really really thick long hair to my bum almost and believe it or not the cheaper brush works better. This is because the bristles are harder so it works it's way through my hair. Tangle teezer is good but would be better with longer bristles. I don't think the tangle teezer is as good for thick hair as it is thin.

I'e never tried the original branded one but I have super curly, frizzy hair and one of these... It combs mine great. £1 very well spent imo, but like I said I haven't used the original one so can't compare... way easier than a normal comb though

they do these in tesco down the pound isle aswell

have a few of these from pound shop and they sell them in tesco down the pound isle they are brilliant

Heat for the price, but it is a cheap foreign clone. The original Tangle Teezer is British made AFAIK, if that still counts for anything.

the best bit is this product works

thank you Janice, I know it works as I've been using one for 2 yeas on my daughters very knotty ringlets, but I see people don't agree with us xx

I have these and they are brilliant as my daughter hates me brushing her hair, but will let me use these on her hair!

can someone explain the product I have think bum length waving hair prone the frizz and I have had to plait my hair for the last year everyday to stop knots and it still knots above the plait would be keen for help, also I get loads of frizz on the top of the head any help?

No, this is not the original. I have one as well and although it's cheap it's nowhere near the original Tangle Teaser...

I think the tangle teaser is brilliant. haven't tried this make so cant comment

I have both, bought the Tangle Teezer first and loved it, coupled with some spray in conditioner it's the only way I can tame my 3 year old's ringlets without her screaming the house down. Bought this one for holiday and whilst it's OK for travel or to stick in the gym bag it's not as well made (much harder plastic and doesn't have different lengths of bristle) I prefer the 'real' one.

I can dry my daughter's hair / my hair with the hairdryer and the Tangle Teezer but when I tried with the pound one it melted to a lump in my hair, I had to go out in Tenerife and try and get a real one so don't dry straightening hair with a dryer and this cheaper version.

Got a leoprint one of these with a handle part in tkmaxx for like £5 that is heat proof. ooh turns out its worth a bit more http://www.amazon.com/Dtangler-Detangling-Styling-Person-Massager/dp/B00L4EPC5Y

works better than the tangleteezer which retails at least £10

Not sure how good a £1 version is but will do for an emergency comb in my bag thanks ;p

The one you got from Home Bargains is a bargain!! It is 100% better than this one!
I bought the OP advertised £1 one from Poundland in the summer as I had gone away and forgot my original tangle teaser and this was a load of rubbish - when it did manage to go through a tangle it did not do anything so it went to the charity shop! it was also very rough to use.
I bought the home bargains one (with a handle and find that one better then the branded one - so much so I sold my tangle teaser on ebay and use the home bargains one all the time!)

I have the original tangle teaser but when I saw these last year in poundland i bought one for my daughter and myself thinking it would come in handy. Tried it once on my own hair and threw it in the bin. It's like tourture!!! Have now bought another proper Tangle teaser instead for £8 and will stick with them from now on.

it's rubish . I have the Tangle teezer and this one is rubish compared

I think there must be a few different types of the 'fake' ones, as some people are saying they are rubbish, and some think their brilliant as I do

I paid around £10 for mine. I have very fine hair that was falling out using a normal brush but with the tangle teaser it doesn't
