Lost my 3yr old daughters brush last week so perfect timing. I always seem to miss out on these when they are posted, end up traipsing around mothercare stores without any luck. When I saw wishihadadonkey's amazon post had expired I thought I'd missed out again but louiselouise came to the rescue with this link (thanks).

Been wanting for years, and been keeping missing out the Amazon ones. Thx OP!

I think I paid less than this when I bought the last few we got, but it's worth double just for the reduction in screaming and stress it brings!

Whenever these have been posted for £5 or less they've expired within a couple of hours.
The one I lost, cost me about a Fiver almost 2yrs ago but I did spend over an hour hunting it down so I'm happy to pay approx 74p more (after cash back) without the hassle.
Bought a spare one for the Mrs as she keeps using my daughters.

I had a feeling someone would post my link from earlier

One reviewer on Amazon mentions that her Tangle Teezer only lasted around 18 months, whereas her Mason Pearson (she maintains it's a knockoff of theirs) has went through 20 years of use. Worth a punt for just over £5. Must be this one, though it's a bit pricey! amazon.co.uk/Mas…LYY (Mason Pearson N3).

Others are complaining that the Tangle Teezer really needs a handle, and the smooth plastic's too slippery (could see where that would be a pain, particularly with wet hair).

Thinking of looking into the other brand mentioned, as I have very thick, tangly coloured hair which is a nightmare to brush.

Have pink one for daughters - not slippery and doesn't look as shiny as this. Toni and Guy sell them (or used to anyway) if you wanted to have a look in person to try holding.

Ordered one anyway as it's a bit cheaper than the norm, had my eye on a Tangle Teezer for a while. There's a cute "disco purple" version on ebay for around £2 more, too.

Another good tip I read for all us battling tangly hair, is to try "mane and tail" conditioner (usually for horses). Apparently it works wonders.

Thank u!!! ordered 2...heat added!X)

Check out Denman D90 Tangle Tamer Hairbrush if you want a brush with a handle - currently £4.75 on Amazon.

Have to try that one, more of a sane price than the Mason Pearson. I used the standard black/red Denman brushes for years, they're great.

Lookfantastic are doing it for the same price too! They must be competing directly with Amazon. lookfantastic.com/den…tml

(I think the Tangle Tamer sounds better as it has a handle, I'm going to buy both..one for home, one for gym, to compare).

@ louiselouise - thanks again for the link and the advice regarding other brands. It was the 18% quidco and Paypal payment option that made it a no-brainer. Quidco tracked at £1.26

@ Lillypops - Thanks for the Denman D90 recommendation, has some excellent reviews. Followed Louise's suggestion and ordered from LookFantastic. Works out at only £3.89 after 18% quidco.

Cheers ladies, as a baldy, I don't have a clue about these things so any advice is greatly appreciated.
The Mrs seems to enjoy torturing our daughter by using a standard brush. She uses the old adage 'if I had to go through it, so should she!'

yep

Has anyone signed up for the free £15 voucher and 30 day trial after making purchase?

We got my daughter one as a daft stocking filler at Christmas!

She loves it, she has long thick hair and it glides through!

Not sure if the Vogetti is a detangler brush, doesn't look like one.

One good place to get half decent hairbrushes is Poundland, the Goody branded ones. I have too many hairbrushes!! But in my defence I keep losing them.

I have a "Ceramic Ionic" full size professional one imageshack.us/pho…pg/ An ordinary full size: imageshack.us/pho…pg/ Handbag sized mini: imageshack.us/pho…pg/

Also a "Plasmium" gel handled, ionic, tourmaline handbag brush: imageshack.us/pho…pg/ All for a pound.

Don't know if Goody do detangling brushes but worth a look. Edit: Yes, they do, the range is called "Ouchless".

Got a bottle of Disney Princess spray-on detangler from Poundland too (it may be for toddlers, but anything that helps me comb through my peroxided mane will do).

I have a few unbranded wide-tooth detangling combs, but they're so-so.

got blown out by Dragons den. Then managed to turn over more than that whole series combined.

In ya face!

Thanks for this great deal! It has been featured over on the HUKD blog PLAYPENNIES
