This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Tannoy Eclipse Mini Speakers (pair) for £29. Seem to be selling at around £100 at other retailers.

6 Year Guarantee.

Edit: Now only available in store. If your local doesn’t have stock then they can still order for in store collection or free home delivery. Still have over 1000 units in their warehouse (as of 15/04).

2.1% (61p) cashback via topcashback. (Not much but may as well have it).

Small but with a big-hearted sound, the Tannoy Eclipse Mini is a flexible performer.

Ideal for many situations
The Eclipse Mini’s compact size makes them perfect for all types of jobs. Use them in a desktop system or small room for an enveloping, stereo sound. Alternatively, they’re ideal used in a high quality multi-room system, where they provide discrete sound in small and medium-sized spaces. Match up with other Eclipse speakers and they can also make the basis for an impressive value home cinema speaker package.

Tannoy drive units for dynamic sound
Starting at the top, the Tannoy Eclipse Mini uses a soft dome tweeter. These go higher up the frequency range than usual, giving a more detailed and spacious sound. Matching this, the compact woofer unit provides a natural midrange and punchy bass. Taken as a whole, the sound is well-balanced and suitable for all types of music genres – perfect for true music lovers.

Heavyweight cabinet for low distortion
They might be small but that doesn’t mean Tannoy have compromised on build quality. The heavyweight fibreboard cabinet minimises distortion, giving a pure and detailed sound that’s free from cabinet ‘boom’. Further quality details include gold-plated cable posts and quality crossovers with close tolerance components.

Classic style
Finished in a black oak effect, the Tannoy Eclipse Mini is a classic design that’s designed to fit in with all types of decors. Silver detailing makes the speakers stand out or, for a more discreet look, simply attach the supplied grilles.

Famous Tannoy sound from a small and fantastic value speaker – the Eclipse Mini is an unmissable deal.

So I'm guessing this requires an amplifier?

6 ohms speakers are absolutely fine with an 8 ohms amp. It's a slightly different story if you are running 4 ohm speakers with a 8 ohm amp, but even then you will only hit a problem at very loud volume.

Tannoy, one of the great British brands, been around since the 1930s. They virtually invented public address systems.

Seems a very good price, pair with a small amp and you will have a great budget system there
Looks like a cracking price delivered op.
Been looking at a new pair of bookshelf speakers for a few weeks now and If I hadn't just dropped money on some second hand Wharfedale diamond 9.1's I'd have been on these as a cheap alternative

Does anyone have these?
I'm looking for a decent(ish) set of rear speakers for my surround setup.
I was looking at paying around £100.
The specifications look good bit I can't seem to find any reviews.

Great speaker for the price.

Providing your amp has some sort of equalisation adjustment between channels it shouldn't be much of a problem. Something like audyssey wound also balance everything nicely if the amp has it.
The only downside I can see is the power rating of these speakers is only 30w RMS. Integrating them with greater powered drivers could be an issue at higher volume's and sudden peaks.

I've tried these and the Wharfedale 9.0 as surrounds. They are OK in terms of the ambient noise that surround speakers mostly provide but aren't great on the occasions they're asked for a bit more.

I have a pair of Q Acoustics 3010 (currently £99) as surrounds now and they are much better when watching something more action oriented with lots going on. You said your budget is £100, tbh i'd skip these and get something better.
Cheers!
With todays deal on the z906 would that be a better one or this with an amplifier for music, movies and gaming?
And does anyone have a reccommendation for a cheap amp to go with this?
Edited by: "Wall-E" 11th Apr 2019

Your wallet
So many of the UK audio respected brands now brandish a
"Designed & Engineered in the UK
Assembled in China"
sticker on the back.

A decade or so ago they would have spat in your face if you dared even suggest such a thing.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the sound I get using my Lepy LP2020A (with Wharfdale Diamond 9.0 speakers). I bought this to connect to my Alexa Echo Dot. Would be interested to see if anyone else here has this amp. I should add that the emphasis here is towards the least expensive option, and I'd encourage you to read reviews and come to your own conclusions.

I have one of these, I got it as a discreet solution for in the kitchen. For the money you can't go wrong. Plenty of power for my needs.

Thus far I've only run a cheap pair of tibo speakers using my hi res dap but should really hook up my better speakers to see what it performs like.

Note: Two criticisms - Very short power cable and the very bright blue light power light.

Had this running for over 3 months connected to an echo dot and it's been working amazingly!

It has not volume control though so the volume can only be controlled by the device connected to it.

One thing I would recommend with all the budget amplifier is their quality is massively based on how good the power supply you use with them is.
