For those looking for the clarity and articulation of the Revolution DC6 and have the space for a floorstanding loudspeaker, the Revolution DC6T delivers a dynamic, full-range performance. Based on the same high specification 150 mm (6.00”) Dual Concentric driver, the Revolution DC6T adds a matching 150mm (6.00”) bass driver and integrates these into a near 30litre trapezium shaped rear-ported cabinet with custom crossover.

The larger cabinet with its unique shape helps to reduce colouration by minimising internal reflections and standing waves caused by paralleled sides. This is particularly important on the long, uninterrupted side-walls of a floorstanding loudspeaker. Constructed of heavy gauge particle board with a substantial 18mm fibreboard front baffle and extensively braced throughout, the Revolution DC6T draws heavily on Tannoy’s six decades of experience designing floorstanding loudspeakers.

Each cabinet is offered in Dark Espresso real wood veneer, hand finished to the same exacting standards expected of bespoke cabinetry. Magnetic grille mounts are installed below the veneer to ensure a graceful and uncluttered appearance on the front baffle and the stylish brushed metal trims are mounted with concealed fixings to further enhance the smooth appearance. The result is Tannoy’s most affordable full-range Dual Concentric floorstanding loudspeaker, equally at home with high fidelity audio of high definition movie entertainment.

Thought this was a good price myself, been thinking about getting them

I've also been thinking of getting a pair, need to decide between this and the cheaper Tannoy Mercury V4.

Have a look at vintage speakers in your search I got mordaunt short pageant 2 speakers 40 years old very nice sound with my 30 year old nad 3020 amp and nad 520 cd player

Hot !

Really good price, at these prices get 2 pairs of these and a DTC4 centre and create a quality 5.1 set up. (with the help of a decent amp and sub)

I picked up a pair of these last year. Great speakers.

Surprised there has been no usual comments in here...

What do I need to plug into this?

Are these active speakers?

I am waiting for someone to pipe up with "Do these take D Cell Batteries?"

Great looking speakers, great price, heat added.

Thanks just reserved a pair - been meaning to replace my front Kef Eggs as one of the rears has "popped" so gives me a replacement and a spare speaker with these at the front.

Doh after being told new unopened - turns out the 3 they had is now just 1 and ex demo shop floor. So not getting them now

hot.

I recently bought the Tannoy DC6T SE for £500. They sound absolutely fantastic and felt like a massive upgrade from a previous set up, which I thought already sounded good. Truly amazing speakers that I'd recommend to any audiophile on a 'budget' (industry term not shared my by own opinion!)

Last time I checked the centre for these was really quite expensive though

Why does that not surprise me with Richer Sounds.

And open boxed usually means kicked around the floor a few times, shoved in a box and attempt to sell for 3/5ths its RRP.

love em, heated!

Great deal if they have stock!

look almost identical to the v4's brilliant, best money iv ever spent.. need a decent amp to power them though

Thanks for the reply, never heard of an espresso tree before though

Nice looking speaker regardless.

Well ended up going into Richer Sounds in the end. The "open box" ex demo were basically as new - one labelled as never used, other had been used once for a demo. But visually they are new.

Also £10 VIP deal email came through last night, so got them for £239 and tbh they sound really good.

Then you were right royally ripped off, as a VIP member you should get 10% off open boxed goods.

Not really - they have goods identified for that clearance sale, which includes open box + ex demo etc. The display of stuff they had was beaten to hell and back and I wouldn't have touched with a barge pole tbh. I did take the £10 VIP discount hence the price.

You sound very bitter?

I got a great pair of speakers for an excellent price. So thanks to the original poster for spotting them.

Even in a worst case scenario - that I was SO upset for losing the 10% off . . it means I lost approx £14 off a set of speakers worth alot more than the £239 I paid. Gutted. . not. . !

Yep, confirming what I have said...I have wasted journeys before and complaints about the state of their open box stuff. On rare occasions like yourself I have had a few 'gems'.

Yes after spending £1000s at RS I am bitter at their so called great customer service..in order to get it I have had to make several complaints.

Glad that you are happy, I am not bitter that you got a great deal at all (just commenting you could have got it even better)...but it is your 'happiness' they hope to get away with as far as honouring their sales...and with that I am saying you have been right royally ripped off.

It is on your own volition you are happy to forfeit the extra £14 you could have saved, because RS will never tell a VIP they could get extra savings without 'gentle prodding' and will try everything they possibly can to get out of their own terms and conditions.

They are reliant on people like yourself to just take it as it is.
