Was doing "the Christmas food run" at my local Sainsburys and thought I'd try a G&T for the first time, having remembered another forum user recommend Tanqueray as being better than "Gordon's".

Spotted this deal on the shelf and thought it was a good price - £5 off. It's not the "No. 10" variety, if that makes much difference, but I'm sat here sipping my first ever G&T and liking it.

any comments on taste vs bombay sapphire please?

Mmmm Bombay Saphire is a better taste IMHO and is also on offer in Sainsburys

Bombay Saphire was my No 1.....until I tried this .....
personal taste I guess. As for the deal it's hot from me

This wins for those who like a full bodied taste, bombay for me tastes like grass cuttings would.

this is better than bombay and a great price for it

Thanks for the comments, I'm very much a gin-virgin so I'm not well up on the nuance's of taste between the various gins, but "heard/read" that Tanqueray was considered one of the best. Hope you all had a nice G&T Chrimbo!
