Tanqueray Gin Export Strength 43.1% - Waitrose £18.50 for 1 litre

This is a nice drop of gin and much better than the terrible Gordons stuff. In addition, as it is Export Strength at 43.1% ABV compared to Gordons at 37.5%, you probably won't need as much or if you do you'll get bladdered earlier hic!
Deal ends 7 October so get round there fast!

You can also get 5% back if you're with natwest and registered for cash back at the minute.

Is this online only?

I paid £16 for a 70cl I tesco last week, so this is hot.

how/where? google doesn't throw anything up

This is in-store for sure - I bought a bottle on Saturday. Hot!

Not in store at a "little Waitrose" near Monument station. Will look for a larger store. Thanks O.P

Don't waste … Don't waste money:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2315572/Can-tell-Aldis-10-gin-posh-stuff-times-price-Drinks-expert-JILLY-GOOLDEN-breaks-ice-slice-out.html

Aldi's gin is really nice. But I like Tanqueray also. So still hot from me.

some Lloyds bank customers like me have 10% cashback up to a £300 spend at the moment.

Thanks for the aldi heads up.... Also good to pick up that the lidl one is terrible as I usually shop there and would have bought it.... Aldi it is then :-)

Aldi's Oliver Cromwell Gin gets the best review from the link above, and also it was in the papers last year saying how it knocked spots off other well known makes.

I have been buying from Aldi for almost 12 months now, and wouldn't touch any other.

gin back

That linked review has the most completely random scoring that it's worthless. The 'best' gin (allegedly Aldi) scored less than others; that makes no sense. Maybe the reviewer had been on the meths beforehand.

Nice post! Great Gin, thanks for post

Great for making Sloe or Damson gin.
The extra strength ensures the gin retains a decent 'bite' once diluted with your berries.

truied ordering, but when I went to book a slot to pick up and pay; the screen went wobbly amd mysteriously the Gim has gone up to £30 a bottle and has been removed from the offer page!

Darn it !

1 litre bootle has been reomoved from the offer; it must have been a glitch!

Try Tanqueray 10, I can't even afford it but if I remember right it's near 50%... Supposed to be really good but about £32 a bottle!
Also, another thumbs up for Aldi's gin, great tasting at the best price out there. Haven't bought any other gin since I tried it.

5% cashback on Halifax current account if youre registered for there cashback

Yeah totally, I'm sure it's got nothing to do with it scoring as well as gin that costs twice as much...

And you believe what you read in the Daily Mail?
Shame on you!!

Seriously, I appreciate that taste is a subjective thing so each to his own re Tanqueray. I just write as I find.
Personally I think that Hendricks is awful stuff but then quite a lot of others like it so there you go.

For those who say that the offer is expired, I can't get into Waitrose website but MySupermarket.com
is still showing it as £18.50 until 07 Oct.

I have asked someone I know who works at Waitrose to confirm that it is still on the shelf but they won't be able to tell me till tomorrow.

Can anyone else corroborate that they have seen it on shelf since Saturday?

Touché!

Just picked up two bottles of this in Kenilworth Waitrose, so the offer is still on. I also managed to use my £10 off £40 voucher, which worked perfectly with this - I wasn't sure that alcohol would be included, but it was.

I know I've mentioned it on another thread, but why no mention of Harrington dry gin? Absolutely gorgeous, but not cheap

I drink lots of gin (far too much!) and Tanqueray is very good, Aldi gin is okay but and perfectly drinkable but Tanqueray tastes so much better. My favourite and highly recommended is Martin miller, which has its own unique taste and I would definitely recommend trying, the daily mail article gives it 10 out of 10 which I would wholly agree with, I think sainsburys have got it at £23 for 70cl at the moment so buy it while its cheap!

Just had it confirmed from someone who works at Waitrose that this offer runs till next Tuesday.

Fill yer boots!

Just bought some, had loads and had a sticker / label underneath saying it was £18.50.

While there I saw opihr gin, has anyone tried it, it looked interesting.

Saw this, says it is reduced from £21.50. So it's only £3 off, like many of the other gins & vodkas in Waitrose right now.

Isn't drinking gin in Scotland a capital offence?
