Update - Dropped again

Looks decent for the cash and gets good reviews - includes Remote & Optical cable also - Use code 39BFPEA9 at checkout (states code on page)

Looks easy on the eye compared to some of the lower end models out there.

Heated, looks very impressive for the price!
Tempted. Any real world experience from owners? - Amazon reviews not all good. I'm not looking for a theatre experience, just better clarity than the rubbish sound from my LG TV.

Does this have HDMI ARC?
Probably not at that price point, but then again I'm not sure why that would be an expensive feature.
Got this for my folks at Christmas. Not the deepest bass but lightyears better than TV speakers, easy to set up and Bluetooth a bonus. Fills a mid sized room perfectly well, well worth the cash
And no, no hdmi arc. Comes with phono leads, need to get an optical cable. Used the amazon basics cable and works a treat

My bad, this is a newer version of the one I got.

Just got this Hitahci soundbard from Argos for £20 more. 240w (apparently) and has a subwoofer and ARC HDMI. I think it was a great purchase I've no complaint so far other than the fact the remote that comes with it is like something from the discount bin at Poundland. Not that I need to use it, as ARC means my TV remote does all the work. argos.co.uk/pro…575

240w (apparently)

"Apparently" being the operative word. Reading the manual, the soundbar's power supply is 20v/2a, so the maximum wattage the soundbar can be is 40w. It doesn't state the amperage of the subwoofer, but it does state it as being 40w. So that's 80 max in total. Either way Wattage isn't a measure of volume or loudness, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Good deal for this price, but what an unfortunate choice of brand name!

There's a reason why Matsushita of Japan used ''National'', ''Panasonic'' and ''Technics''!
Can you connect several devices to it at once? I'm thinking of plugging the bar into the telly with an optical cable and connecting an Echo to it via bluetooth. Would that work or would you have to fiddle with settings each time?

I assume the sound from this is better than an Echo (2nd gen)?
Thanks!
The speakers in my tv are rubbish, so I've been mulling over a soundbar for a while. I had a rootle round HDUK and decided to push the boat out and go for one of these instead:

They're all sold out on the link that leads to, but on Ebay the vendor has listed a few more. Yes, it's more than twice as much, and it's likely got a scratch or two, but I reckon it's the better buy.

Cheers just brought this as an upgrade from my built in tv speakers. All the reviews look decent.
just got one of these but struggling to get it to work with the Virgin Tivo v6 remote - can't find a code and the virgin code search isn't working with this brand either - anyone successfully done this?

edit - couldnt find anyway of pairing this with Virgin Media Tivo V6 remote - and having had it in use overnight - didn't thinkn much of it - I had previously had a sony with sub woofer (Which packed up) and this doesn't compare - so it's going back to Amazon

Who actual looks at reviews unless its a 1 or 2 star product just go to youtube and look at it

Guy says its superb (first comment reply) and says its much better from his tv speakers. So its probably what you're looking for.

My mistake, only two inches different, just an example anyway.
I have an old Panasonic plasma with a digital audio out will that work with the optical cable?
I bought one of these over 6 months ago. I have it connected to my LG 47" TV using a aux lead as the sound from that is rubbish.

The sound bar gives a much better sound, I'm very happy with it. Looks fine as well. It doesn't switch off with the TV as it isn't connected via HDMI but it's not too difficult to use the remote!

I think I bought mine for around this price.

Its never gone down from £99...... read the deal, even just the description will do
When you go on promotion, why is there 1 for 68.99 and 1 for 69.99. Whats the difference? Thanks.
