Is the food any good though? Decent idea all the same, I can see other supermarkets doing similar in the future.

I've not tried it yet, its sat in the fridge but I'm about to have a glass of wine so may end up sampling some of it. I try to be good on a 'school night' but my willpower's not at its strongest at the moment!

Not sure the kids know if your breath stinks of stale beer or wine, they just think you're stinky, I say go for it, I know we would in your footsteps dude

Can't agree with your olive comment as they truly are my favourite but, to take your mind off them, here's a complete list of what's included in the deal....

Tesco £10 Deal

Sorry I couldn't remove the olives for you.

Being Tesco, they have some seriously peculiar ideas of what's Spanish.

I hope the link is working correctly, when I click on deal it takes me to 18 dishes, 2 of which are olives but plenty of other varieties.

It's funny though with olives, I couldn't stand them when I was younger, they were probably joint 1st on my list of most disgusting foods along with liver. Now I love both of those things. I'd rather have olives than a bag of crisps now, strange!

Sounds like a meal for one. Some of their dishes are nice, but they are small.

Thanks for that, the link is working fine for me but maybe others weren't getting the full list. It is funny about the Spanish thing, one of the dishes that I chose was 'Italian mozzarella with semi-dried tomatoes' not very Spanish, but look very tasty (still holding off on indulging on a Wednesday!)

Not strange at all, given the choice between any form of cake/pastry etc, anything sweet, crisps or similar and olives, the olives will win every time and have done so since I was a child.

I'm a bit older now and a large bowl of Kalamata Olives, a plate of Halloumi and a bottle of Retsina and I'm in heaven ---- and I'm not even Greek.

p.s. 23 items in the deal including 2 bottles of wine.

Eight of the dishes are olives ... that's eight too many for me ... and two of the selection packs have olives ...

That's really weird, I've just signed out and looked at the selection again and there are loads of olives and not many of the meaty dishes, when I sign in the selection is a lot better!? Nothing is ever straight forward with Tesco!

It will depend on the range stocked at your local Tesco online warehouse facility.

As long as you finish your homework first, what's the problem?

Tried the with and without log-in methods, without provides 23 items including the 2 wines and with log-in provides 24 items - go figure.

Whilst I agree, in principle, with @sickly sweet, that it should reflect what's in the store that does the delivery, it doesn't actually do so and it really annoys the heck out of me.

Having said that, it's not just Tesco that do this.

It is most noticeable with what the supermarkets label as ethnic products and produce. The stores have lots but, if you try to order any online, the system says that there aren't any.

How do I know this isn't just them selling out, that's easy. Firstly, it doesn't matter how many times that I try to order the items, they are never available and, secondly, I've had my wife call me from the store and I've checked online and no availability.

Looks good, my type of food, nothing I don't like on the list.

Hold on, not a big fan of Falafel really.

Good idea but olives and wine isn't my idea of a tapas meal! - would go the antipasti selection, croquets and anchovies but not fussed on the rest. Surely patatas bravas is a basic one which should be there.

I logged in and now I am offered 32 items including chicken and prawns, thanks for the info

Purchased in-store yesterday and there was a decent enough selection on the shelves (and I didn't go for the olives). It was a shame that the piri piri chicken had sold out though.

We often buy their tapas range at 5 for £9 so an extra £1 for a bottle of wine was a good deal.

Voting Hot

Oh dear... if I log-in I only get offered 6 products and none of those are the drinks!

Here Tesco demonstrate a key aspect of good business.... Make the customer believe they are getting a great deal while making good profit yourself.

Keep in mind that a regular microwave meal is about 400g so each of these offers from 100g to 250g are more snack size. The prices are clearly hyped up to appear a better deal than what they are.

The wine they are sure to have made a good agreement on with the producer. Good for you if you like the wine and good profit for them.

So if you like the food then indeed a reasonable deal but if you aim for great value then Tesco have better offers on.

I like Tapas, but I'm happiest when the main meal arrives...
