We got this delivered last week with the brown tape but I really can't recommend it - the tape gun is adequate but the tape itself is awful, just so thin as to be useless. The tape is semi-transparent and so it tears as soon as you look at it, and I've had to give up using it in the tape gun because as soon as you wrap it over a corner it tends to rip.Even then I had to go over every bit of packing twice as I didn't feel the one bit of tape would be sufficient so I effectively used twice as much as I normally would. I'm already finding it incredibly frustrating and will probably end up just binning it and buying some decent tape. I guess packing tape is like buying bin bags - buying too cheap is a false economy.

Yeah cheap tape isn't worth it, High Tack Low Noise is perfect for me.

Why do i just want to randomly buy this?? Don't Aldi do these on special offers?

great deal, been looking for something like this for a while, heaty!

Does anyone know if the tape is good?

Would be good to know the quality but suspect it's that tape that doesn't stick to itself or anything very well and tears when you sneeze. Still maybe worth a punt bit I must admit I'm a tape snob having wasted so much cheap tat over the years.

Don't expect much from the tape dispenser as similar ones I've bought are poor quality and fall apart after a couple of months!

Having bought some cheap tape off eBay once before (and never again) I would go for buying the packing tape they sell in Tesco. It's £2 a roll but it actually sticks!

These tape guns are absolute rhymes with kite, terrible! If you're going to be using a tape gun a lot then get an £8 Draper, works so much better.

32274269-kK2eV.jpgI will need 3 - one for the brown tape, one for the "Fragile" tape and one for the clear stuff or I'll be swapping rolls every few minutes ...

£8 for a gun?.

I'd want it to wrap it for me at that price.

I totally do NOT need this, still want it...

depends on the useage. It was fine for my needs when moving home.

I buy tape from Wilko for 75p which is pretty good and with a longer roll length than many. 60m

Thanks for the heads up, exactly the question I wanted to ask answered

The gun is abysmal, falling apart already. Had it for a couple of months and only use it sparingly.

Why would you think £8 is expensive for a tape dispenser? I use one everyday and maybe if you don't then you'll be OK with a cheap one. The cheap ones are utter crap though.
