    We had one of these and it was pretty hopeless. Bought a Nespresso in a car boot sale for £15 which produces waaay better coffee,even with the cheap Aldi and LIDL pods. One of my pals has a Vertuo which produces even better coffee, but the pods are pricey .

    Completely depends on the type of coffee you like.
    The new vertuo Nespresso machines can be regularly picked up for ~£70 with freebies but the capsules are really expensive and have been trademarked till 2030 so nobody else can produce them.

    Quality of the drinks has dropped massively since they changed the pods. Our machine is sat in the back of the cupboard and we’ve around £100 of drinks that will probably be out of date now

    Have had two of these. Swore by them once, but now wouldn't buy another. Prices of the pods are rising, some packs are down from 16 to 14 pods, and the pods are getting slimmer (Columbian down in content by a gram and down in quality IMHO.)

    Any recommendations on machines? i want to buy one for work and I currently consume enough costa caramel lattes to bankrupt me

    The MyWay gives you options for strength, temperature etc and the new Finesse one gives you a extra strength options if you hold the button. It's on the Tassimo website for £50 in a bundle with five packs of drinks.

    The other machines will be functionally identical to each other though.

    Please don't buy this. You'll end up like me.

    I used one before I realised the huge amount of almost unrecyclable plastic that's in each capsule. Now I'm filled with guilt every time I see it in my cupboard. Can't give it away as then someone else will start wasting plastic... can't just ditch it as so much energy was used just to make it and it'll only go into landfill. Damn this environmental guilt. Tips on what I could use it for would be appreciated.

    Also just about any other way of making coffee makes a tastier cup including a few instant options. It really is that rubbish.

    Gross pods for this machine, did me well for a year though.

    I then spent a little more on a Lavazza Espresso machine with the milk foamer attached and it’s much tastier (edited)

    Had my Tassimo for 12 years and still really like it, the variety of drinks is the best out there and there are always offers on either at supermarkets or on the Tassimo webshop. No issues with quality of drinks here.
