If you’re buying a tassimo - be prepared for a lot of empty pods…here’s 36 of my daughters vs my nespresso

Just get a podback bag for free and dump them all in that to recycle, it's not hard, the hardest part is sending the bag for recycling. (edited)

    Mum had this machine.

Takes ages, makes awful loud clunking noises while warming up, I personally found the straight up coffee was awful (kenco, l’or was passable) and the pods are double the cost of most others.

Also a relatively ugly machine compared to similarly priced alternatives.

    There’s a reason it’s discounted so much.

    Avoid avoid avoid.

I've got Dolce Gusto and I've decided to get a Tassimo too. Mainly because all the pods are expensive, so I am using any of the 2 based on what offers I find on the pods.
Personally, I feel Tassimo is a better machine, the coffee is hotter (not a priority for me), more variety, coffee taste better. However, with DG, I can get cheaper 3rd party pods and I can manually adjust the water quantity, as well I can make cold coffee.
I believe all the brands have pros and cons, but if I don't like this one, I think you should stay away from DG too.
With regards to reasons for such a cheap price, you see them often at this price. I've paid £25 for mine 3-4 years ago. They sell cheap, because they make the money on pods. I'm surprised they don't give them away for free. Nothing to do with the quality of the machine. (edited)

Given up on pod machines, so expensive and wasteful, got a tassimo and a senseo that are hardly ever used now.
