Also the more expensive titanium one with water filter is available for £69.

just ordered, ! hot

Heat added, although I cannot find stock locally

Heat - not as cheap as the recent Sainsbury deal i was lucky to get but still a good price

Great little machine and pods are not that expensive if you compare to a filter coffee or top end instant price (its much better than any instant i have tried)

Thanks very good deal, especially because the Amazon oprice has increased.

BTW. I'm currently researching around about this and traditional filter coffee makers (the ones that can also make cappucino and lattes). I've read how with Tassimo, one pod is not enough for a full mug of (whatever you're making). Is this true?

The cafe crema and Colombian do make a good sized cup fine. Expresso clearly will not make a similar sized mug! Cappucinno is pretty small but very nice. Just use your own milk if you want a larger cup

if you want a huge mug then you will need two pods for any of the varieties. Latte Macchiato is awesome witha shot of Baileys in it when you have come in from the snow!!

Great little machine - well impressed with ours

there is also a tool available to make your own pods...that brings the price down to reasonable levels rather than paying over the top for the pods.

i love mine!

I've been deliberating over this deal for a while. Whats been putting me off is the cost of the discs, which I feared might be a tad on the expensive side. Going by some of the comments on here I am picking up that they are not as expensive as I feared! Given that the Cafatierre is getting rather old I've taken the plunge and reserved one in black from my local store.

Thanks OP heat added.

Thanks - anyone know how this machine compares to the Krups Dolce Gusto - I currenlty have one but I'm thinking of taking it back as it doesn't seem to get very hot....?

I've had the Braun and the Bosch version of these, and don't find either of them very good to be honest. The bosch is slight better in some ways, but the coffee never tastes very fresh. Have also found one or two in ever 20 or so fails, the coffee grounds are forced through the hole into the cup rather than staying in the pod, eventually the pressure builds up till you lift the lid it releases steam and coffee everywhere. It seems to be a known issue with the design I read somewhere.

If you start with cold water from the tap, and a cool mug then add milk to your drink it's barely hot when you come to drink it, nowhere near as hot as form a kettle.

Just want to point out I find it looks nicer than it actaully is.

was thinking of buying one of these for my partner but he uses the instant sachets at the moment which give a good full mug - are these things worth it?

Bought one recently and been impressed with the coffee and hot chocolate.

Here's the review from Which?

Bosch Tassimo TAS6515GB
Although the Tassimo hot drinks maker is easy to use, it's slow to dispense drinks and performed poorly in our taste tests for both espresso and cappuccino.
The Tassimo makes one espresso or cappuccino at a time by using a unique 'T-Disc' system - it takes T-discs rather than using pre-packaged coffee pods or ground coffee.
Simply insert a T-disc and press the big button located on the front. For more than one drink, insert another disc and press go again. An LCD display will even guide you through the process and will tell you when to fill the tank or whether it's time to descale. It's rated 'good' for build quality, too.
Although this system is simple to use, as there's no need to measure out ground coffee, it takes almost 51 seconds to produce an espresso, which is slower than most machines on test. It takes even longer for cappuccino, as you have to wait for two different discs to be dispensed.
Our expert wasn't impressed, describing the crema as a 'bit broken and holey' and the espresso taste as 'hard and dull' (rather than fresh and clean).
Cappuccinos have an 'acceptable but not too special' taste and a 'mass produced' appearance, but with good 'colour blend'.
The amount of water dispensed is automatically measured, but pressing and holding the manual button means you can add more water if you want a bigger drink.
This smart-looking machine would fit easily on your counter-top, as the lack of steam pipe, porta filter and tamper means it is compact in size.
The removable water tank at the back of the machine is easy to use and can be filled at any point during your coffee making. Cleaning is easy as the machine has an automatic flushing cycle, while the external surfaces can be wiped with a damp cloth.

Pros: Simple and easy to use, good build quality
Cons: Scores poorly in our taste tests
