Found in Asda clayton Green. Assume these will be nationwide as they have been reducing, to clear, a lot of their Teas and Coffees recently.

Happy hunting

wow are these seriously £5.32 for just 8 cups of coffee, glad I drink tea now with my 2p tea bag!
That explains why they had none in Norwich last night.
How many left at asda Clayton please?

Can only say when I went in there at 2 they had 2 shelves full.
Just been to Blackpool Asda and only reduced to £4 on shelves. I didn't buy any to test but bought Caramel Latte at £4. At least a bit cheaper. Maybe they will come down tomorrow.
Are these like printer cartridges, i.e. sell the machines dirt cheap and cover the subsidised cost by overpricing the consumable?

wasnt this asda "deal" on here about 4 weeks ago, as I remember going to asda to find it myself

well its about 50p a cup if you cant find them on offer.

But if you want the teas they work out about 25p a cup.

still cheaper than £2.40 for starbucks costa etc.
Not surpised at the reduction. Since they changed the recipe.it's not that good any more, watery shadow of original. Used to be very close to a Costa take away.

Stopped using these with the concentrated UHT milk a long time ago.
I heat my own milk and then just add an espresso. Much cheaper, choose you own milk (skimmed, semi etc), fresh milk, choose your own temperature. And you can get a bottle of Monin syrup and do caramel and other flavours.
good find op, heat added
Ooh these are the old recipe ones- will definitely have a look tonight in my local!! Thanks

Same!

The espresso pods are cheaper anyway and get double

P.s you should change the picture for this deal from the new packaging picture that is up to the one you took yourself so that people know it's the nice original recipe and not the 'new' recipe- as the posts above are already kicking off about the taste of the new ones.

ditto. which espresso do you use?
I do see its the old original ones, however since they stopped making them long ago the expiry must be very near.

I stopped using my own milk a long time. I now employ a 78 year old Somerset farmer who has been farming on his land for 80 years using a top secret feed technique that means the milk is of such amazing quality that it has turned hundreds of vegans into ravenous dairy fiends.

Spot on. You can get giant bottles of the syrup with a pump from ebay

"aTate & Lyle Fairtrade Coffee Syrup Beverage 750ml & Pump Monin Costa From £4.99"
( 301755829627 )

as did I. Only downside was a short (3 month) "best b4" date. SO...Micro the milk, add the syrup, and enjoy :-)

Still scanning at 4 pound in my local. Mixed on shelves with the 'new' ones.

Yes,I also found the taste has gone down hill, as I mentioned to Tassimo CS on the phone a few months back...and as if to add insult to injury, LESS pods = cheaper to produce?, yet the price is STILL high/normal, only being reduced (so it seems) on a store by store basis?

End result was a good will gesture of 2 x £5 vouchers, and when they even managed to screw THAT up, I ended up with 4 x £5 vouchers,& stocked up with DOUWE EGBERTS (Family brand of Coffee)
