Tried one of these. Coffee is awful. Went to nespresso much nicer drink.

Can't agree with that comment at all. Makes a wide range of drinks and all nice.

Why wait when you can get it from Currys straight away for the same price?

Agree, coffee is bland and forgettable with these but the best machine to get if you want a wide array of drinks. If your just a coffee drinker (lattes and cappuccino excluded) get a Nespresso machine.

Have you tried anything else? I’ve tried them all over the last couple of years and find nespresso coffee the best quality.
Tassimo coffee is awful, Costa was one of the worst

I love a good latte so bought the Sage Creatista plus, brilliant machine with steam wand for milk too.

Tried lots and I like it. Nespresso is ok if you like expresso but most people like to make a variety of coffees.

Found tassimo to taste awful.
The fact that they sell for £28 when Nespresso machines sell around £70 to £200 tells you what to expect, doesn't it?

Might have some Amazon vouchers to use from Christmas
Can you put different coffee lid in this?? From supermarket? If so please put the makes here. I've just got this as a present and do not like it. Never had a coffee machine before. It came with lots of Costa coffee ( which I hate- Costa doesn't use a well roasted beans, therefore it tastes bitter and yuck) I only like black coffee, no wierd sugary flavours etc... as others said if you like good quality coffee ( like from small coffee shops) don't bother with this. Thanks in advance for any tips.

I have a Tassimo machine and a Dolce Gusto machine. The Dolce Gusto machine allows supermarket pods but the Tassimo uses a barcode system and so only Tassimo original pods work. You often get 3 for a tenner in supermarkets if you look around.

If you like black coffee you best going for the Kenco Americano Grande or Kenco Columbian. There are Costa versions too but you say you don't like them.

I actually think for regular coffee the Dolce Gusto is the best machine but the Tassimo has the edge for milky coffee's with the Bailey's latte being out of this world.

Both good machines though but not sure if it's great for you. Give the kenco coffee's a go though
Thanks, I was really hoping I could buy different kinda makes that would fit in, but it looks like this will be limited. Oh well at least my husband is using it for his milky coffee, he doesn't care much he's not much of a connoisseur, it's a blessing not to be ;-)

I had a look on the Tassimo website and they have a few more options in the black coffee range that I was unaware of that might be right up your street. I took a screenshot. The L'or XL intense sounds right for you. worth a punt I reckon and tell your husband to try the Bailey's latte :-)39539440-UnEOY.jpg
